Inter Dimensional Awareness

Inter dimensional travel can simply refer to a persons capacity to retain information gathered while there consciousness travels free of their physical location on the planet, wether in meditation or sometimes in sleep.

img_5005

To traverse realities, we simply are allowing an expansion of consciousness, a ‘larger view’ or a ‘higher perspective’ from our physical space occupied in the body we incarnated into for this life walk.  To travel inter dimensionally, a Soul may incarnate with past life knowledge of moving through different levels of the manifest reality. They may spend time exploring an alternate reality, a space in which their current life could have deviated and taken an alternate path.  They may find themselves in lower dimension, one in which the world does not appear to be as pristine in natural resources as we still currently, miraculously get to occupy in this Life.  People may also travel to higher dimensions, and when the terms ‘higher or ‘lower’ are used, this references the overall vibration, the energy resonance of the ‘place.’ Just like physical mass in our current reality, that vibrates on a molecular level at a lower speed than the air we breathe, the lower dimensions, dominant vibration is slower, while a ‘higher’ dimension which may afford inspiration from ascended masters, or entrance to a place such as ‘Shambala’ or other evolved beings who teach those who travel greater tools for navigating this current reality with Peace and Compassion for utilizing innate healing abilities, resonates at a ‘faster/higher’ energetic level.

As a person who identifies the difference between waking and sleeping dreams as having very different textures; times in which travelling astrally affords a new level of wisdom for working with my gifts of clairvoyance vs dreams in which experiences throughout the day or this current life offer up new perspectives or learning, I began to integrate early in my life, that this current lifetime is rich with beauty for much of this wondrous planet, and is therefor the dominant experience of consciousness, the ‘home’ that is returned to from other places for many.  We have access to fresh air and pure water, enough for the entire planet should innovative teachings from visionaries or healers of different modalities begin to inspire mass consciousness.

Between travelling through different levels of my own consciousness I gathered tools, teachings, and a deep appreciation each time I returned to this current level of being.

Some of the tools that can be of service to those who feel their Soul experience moves beyond their present life are as follows:

*Fresh air, food, and water feed the cells of this current body.  Through the level of resonance the bodies water cells are beaming at, a clearer capacity to choose when to return to ones body, and which dimensions draw us towards them, can be more accurately navigated. Amplification or balance at sacred places, or through holding a crystal can also encourage a ‘clear sighted; view of all that the consciousness expands into/towards/through.’ (*Please note, many highly sensitive individuals self medicate through toxic substances of alcohol or drugs to block their capacity to experience other realms. When encountering such individuals we can choose to send divine source towards them in a globe of soft pink (unconditional loving grace) that surrounds them with a prayer that they find the healing necessary to feel safe in their current body in all ways.)

img_6837 *A dream journal or a trusted friend or spiritual mentor to share experiences with.  As we grow, evolve and explore through out our lifetimes, we may find that a message we received, or a view we were given access to, comes into a relevant meaning several years form when we had it.  For example, I once ‘saw’ a reality in which I was in a future in which people are able to communicate on a much clearer telepathic and empathic level of being.  To ‘show’ a story to one another or a lesson/teaching through projecting the feelings and essence of an idea towards on another.  This had great gifts for healing.  Doctors and natural medicine healers were working in teams to offer many options to each person who sought medical advice.  They received the agreed upon treatments from  western medicine, as well as energy work, emotional well being, mental health and natural medicine of plants and crystals.  In this current reality I have had the privilege of teaching energy awareness to some western medicine practitioners.  In those moments the dream/clairvoyant message rose once more in my consciousness, a gift to see the small part I was playing towards manifesting that future.

*There are no safe shortcuts.  This is a reminder that we are all encouraged to find our most natural communion with the Divine Source and our own Soul gifts.  We may feel that tools others offer resonate with us, and incorporate them into our daily practice or in retreat for devoted segments of time.  Yet we all unfold at the speed that is safest for integrating, aligning and assimilating with our current life path.  To open too quickly through toxins is dangerous. (For those whom have done so, and now seek to heal the holes in their aura that unwanted energies are coming through, or connected too, I pray that a healer of energy medicine enters your life to help close those doorways and  full detox with medical assistance when necessary, occurs.)  We open doorways to levels of being that can be very light  based and beautiful, but the doorways to places that have fear and pain as predominant energies also exist.  If a person is experiencing  powerful fear surrounding dreams/astrally travel/or movement between worlds, it is very important to find ways to navigate more safely, or to shield from those experiences.  Meditation has been a practice with incredible power passed through multiple religions, spiritual teachings and thousands of years.  Yoga also offers gifts of balance.  Ecstatic Dance can harness our energy in a new or balancing way, as well as practicing Mantra.  Forest Bathing or Salt water immersion can also clear our energy selves. Whatever modality, appeals naturally to the self, we instinctively ‘know’ that we are deserves tools on this plane of existence.  I have traveled through many dimensions in the course of this life, I do so with the most gifts of Love and safety when leading a healthful life of exercise in natural, pure foods, and meditation. I sincerely hope that those reading this have found and will continue to find tools that activate their higher perspective in a safe and conscious manner.

A prayer/affirmation/personal mantra that I have found useful is:

“Dear Divine Source, God/dess, Creator and Great Spirit, please guide me through the levels of consciousness that my current incarnation seeks to reveal at this time for the highest vibration of Peace, self knowledge and Healing.  Please allow me to remain connected to this body and time, so that I may travel safely through the etheric reality, and retain the knowledge that can be of most service to humanity and my own path of healing.  Please send the guides that I am aligned with at this time such Archangel Micheal and Shiva for safety, Kali or a Valkyrie for releasing lower energy that I seek to move beyond, White Buffalo Calf Woman for inner and world messages of Peace and any other angelic resonance or ascended masters, spirit guides or ancestors who step forward to be with me. Please help me to seamlessly integrate all messages and experiences, with gentleness and divine Assistance, and please help me to attract high vibrational friendships, teachers or students whom can benefit from the messages retained now and into the future. Thank you, Amen Om and Aho.”

With light and respect for those who see between worlds and realties,

Awakening to the Art of Letting Go

I often think of life as an experience of gathering tools. Challenge, heartbreak, euphoria and Grace flowing through and around us. It is in the times in life in which new tools must be unearthed that we can gain some of our greatest capacity as light beings, Soul’s, having a human incarnation. We do not forge these so called tools, the prayerful spiritual, or physical, mental, or emotional manners of navigating reality by having a perfectly ‘ease-filled’ life. In life changing cycles, we may find that our previous manner of navigating has become inadequate and that our core self is seeking reveal an expanded level of consciousness. We may find that we are holding to tightly to tools that have worked in the past to help us regain a semblance of security or understanding.

We become more empowered humans when we give ourselves permission to acknowledge where we are truly ‘feeling’ and existing in the course of our life. We may have long years of self doubt, that finally ebb away with the changing of seasons, into a more peaceful or joyous experience. We may have reoccurring life themes, similar relationships that we recreate over and over, as the tools we seek to finally unearth within us need fine tuning. All of it is valuable. The times we felt we let ourselves or others down, the times we offered help or kindness, and hold close in our heart. It is all the grand experience of incarnated life.

When a person is in the midst of a new phase, a tool box building phase, it is spiritually normal to feel as if the receptive quality one is most familiar with has ‘stalled’. The clairvoyant may feel as thought they are having difficulty ‘seeing’. The clairaudient may develop a very physical ringing in their ears. The clairsentient may feel numb to reception of empathetic information. And the claircogniziant may wonder where all of their inspired, problem solving ideas have disappeared too.

During these times, we are asked to be extremely gentle and kind with ourselves. To allow that sometimes, in a transition, during an integration period of a new level of being or consciousness, the changes occurring on the spiritual or etheric level are so momentously large, that we will ‘re-boot’ so to speak with an entirely new operating system, and perception of this life.
For those that are currently feeling as though the compass that was guiding them has disappeared, I offer this prayer/affirmation/mantra:

“Dear God/ess, Sacred Earth and Divine Source, please help me to feel connected to this planet and myself. Even as a seed cracks wide, and pushes towards the light, please help me to feel that my current stage of growth is being guided by my higher Self, the Divine Source and my gifts for this Soul Path. Thank you for helping me feel the wisdom carried through the wind, of far off places, of other people that grow and evolve, even as I endeavour to do so. Thank you for helping my feet feel the warmth and the power of the soil beneath my feet, to remind me that I am rooted and safe. Thank you for helping me feel the light of the sun, mirroring the life force and fire I carry in my being, and for bringing the healing waters, whether through rain, or tears, or a flowing river to teach me to let go of that which I no longer need to carry. Thank you, Amen, Om, Aho.”

After saying, or thinking this prayer, or a version like it, that resonates with us each at this time, we are invited by the Divine Source to truly, deeply, Let Go. Let go of our expectations of perfection, or timelines, or self imposed manners of being devoted, or caring ‘enough,’ of control, grief or fear or insecurity. Let it all go, like a gently flowing river, or an effortless waterfall that plummets through space. Sometimes, when we allow ourselves a few minutes without holding tightly, we are able to discover the vast space within us filling up with new levels of Divine Source, of colour, light, nourishment, Peace or personal understanding for what can be most healthy/healing for us next.

I can remember that during travels around the globe, I would often return to my home town and feel like a completely ‘different’ person, from the woman I had been six months beforehand. Being immersed in foreign cultures and landscapes, from the food and languages I didn’t recognize, the manner of living that was so entirely different from the western culture, something would flower within my being, and my perception of life at ‘home’ would be irrevocably different. I did not always feel like my previous tools were ‘enough’ for each situation I encountered, but I had deep faith that I could forge, build and uncover new tools each time. I practiced the Art of Letting Go of preconceived ideologies, identity and coping. These shifts of consciousness helped me to become the woman I am, the one who can offer a gentle word of encouragement to others while they go through transformative experiences, rebirths, challenges or euphoric joy. We all can choose to continue to embrace the growth and development of healthy tools this wondrous life offers. To feel sorrow, or joy, or anger, or fear, or wonder or awe or Love, and to learn more. We never stop learning, even with our final breaths in these sensitive physical bodies, I truly believe, we learn once more, a new level, understanding and perspective on our Soul’s journey.

May we each feel the blossoming of spring, and find the patience we need through each new lesson of self, for deeper levels of Compassionate Being.

with light,
Kamia

Self Care in Times of Upheaval

There are times in life in which we each experience intense upheaval. A shifting of perception, experience or insight that occurs on one or many levels. During upheaval our experience may be fraught with pain, despair, joy, intuitive leaps, harmony, synchronicity or any and all other feeling. It can be through bearing witness to another’s journey or it can be a challenge that occurs on the physical level that connects to deep work in our emotional bodies. It can be a mental reconfiguration of beliefs, ideologies or faith that is like a lightening strike, and leaves us reconsidering our place and purpose in this world. On the spiritual level we are each capable of intuitive leaps of faith that transform our experience, our Soul Path, in one lifetime, accelerated far beyond the many centuries or thousands of previous lifetimes. Spiritual perception or enlightenment can manifest in different ways for every individual. We are each entitled to our personal unfolding. Yet, during upheaval, a re-configuring of that which has formerly made us feel secure, assured or safe in our prior experiences, we are each offered support and assistance from the Divine in a number of ways. The planet is home to millions of people, those who resonate and teach in so many diverse and powerful ways. We are offered the teachings and support, the service of this diverse world when we are willing to be open in our learning, our gathering of tools, and our expansion of self. I am deeply grateful for my additional sensory perception of the manifest world, and celebrate the wisdom gathered through interactions with Divine Source as Angels, Ascended Masters, the Fairy Kingdom, Spirit Guides and the Earth every day.

For those who find themselves in a cycle of upheaval, of re-examining that which they thought to be ‘true’ as new truth personally emerges, I offer some of the practices that have been of use in my life, with the preface, that I too, continue to learn and evolve and send out gratitude to all those who with a compassionate heart, are also evolving.

1.) Breathe into the Present. We are each multidimensional beings. We receive energy simultaneously from the present, the past and the manifesting futures. We are each, when we find ourselves in the centre of a massive transformation offered the simple gift of Breath work. Yoga, Thai Chi, and many other eastern philosophies that create union between body, mind, spirit and heart all emphasize the importance of Breath. The tool of awareness that draws life-force, prana, chi, shakti, into our cells and allows us to centre and ground into the present, to draw our awareness away from fear based thinking into the Here and Now. Whatever choices, movement or change we are experiencing, we can each spare the time and claim the sacred space to Breath 4 deep breaths, or 8, or 12 or 20. When the physiology of the body is offered this tool, we each can connect with a sense of Calm. In this calm, what are some of the things/feelings/learning that the self has Gratitude for in this moment? Gratitude can be for small and large aspects. Gratitude for the sun shining on ones face, or the chance to connect in a new way with loving the self?

2.) Draw a circle and bisect it with a cross shape, turning it into a wheel of self. In the four quadrants write:

Physical
Emotional
Mental
Spiritual

Looking at this drawing consider, how many hours of the day or how many days of the week, or how many years in my current life cycle do I spend living in/devoted to each of these quadrants? Do two of the four predominantly use up the time of focus and being? If so, what does this current upheaval/challenge/life cycle offer to teach me about exploring the other aspects of self for personal Balance or Transformation?
Each level of self is intricately connected to the other levels. If we, for example, are having a deeply physical experience, what does the emotional self seek to learn/express/clear? Some people may live the majority of there lives in only one aspect of the self, and yet through the connection to a loved one, or the world events at large, may find a time in life in which their beliefs, and personal perceptions are called into question/exploration affording a deeper human experience.

For further exploration of this practise visit: Balancing the Wheel of Self

3.) Ask for the help that we each identify we need. From the above practice we may each see the ways in which we could benefit from guidance, further tools, and support. On the emotional level do we seek the support of friends and family through loving words? On the mental level do we seek the support and tool kits a therapist, psychologist or counsellor could offer? On the Spiritual level are we returning to, or discovering space in our lifetimes for a new form of Faith that supports us in this new self that is emerging? The light that is offered through many diverse spiritual practices can offer a deep Peace to those that are seeking light in a new and expanded way. Perhaps through books, psychic readings, or other energy healing modalities. On the Physical level have we met the basic needs of our body? Have we received guidance, diagnosis, second opinions or medication that help us to work through pain? Have we fed out bodies nourishing food, and received the sleep we need to make clear choices about asking for the help during our upheaval? Have we experienced the healing touch of massage, reflexology or a simple but powerful hug?

During the approaching year, or in any cycle of rebirth or upheaval, a prayer I will often use is as follows:

“Dear Divine Source, God/dess. of creation, please send the aspects of light that are most in alignment with my cycle of growth at this time. Help me to receive compassion from the universe, and from those who are in my direct life path at this time. Help me to be patient as this new level of being unfolds, and to set healthy boundaries for myself regarding self healing and existence, in this evolving world. Please let the light of Shiva and Archangel Micheal clear away my fears of unworthiness surrounding health, on any level, and send the light of the Divine Mother to infuse every cell of my energy body and physical body with regenerative growth and powerful Love. Thank you for reminding me through messages, signs and angelic support, that I am capable of becoming the new me, and releasing with peace, all that which no longer serves my purpose. Thank you, Amen, Om and Aho.”

Whether we are seeking connection to ourselves in a new or ancient way, may we do so with the knowledge that our Soul is radiant light, and we are each shining the way for others, whether consciously or unconsciously in this myriad connection of humans and light matrix.
Thank you for shining!

with light, compassion, and empathy for all of our struggles and miracles in growth,
Be Love

Planting Seeds for Compassion, Teaching Children Yoga

When my daughter began kindergarten in 2012, like many parents, I hoped her school experience would encourage her curiosity to learn, provide opportunities for kindhearted friends, and gift me with five blessed hours of alone time. In the first few months of school she would confide in me over lunch, the joys, the sorrows and the frustrations of navigating her new social and education reality. I delighted in hearing that her new best friend was kind and helpful, and that her teacher devoted time and energy to each child’s particular learning needs. One day she asked me what a particular swear word meant. When I asked where she had encountered it, she explained a classmate had taken to calling her that and stepping on her hands or kicking her when saying it.

I went to the teacher immediately to ask what could be done to stop the violent words and behaviour. The teacher explained that the particular child was receiving a lot of support from the school and came from adverse circumstances. After hearing the child’s story, I altered my approach from asking for intervention, to offering my presence in the classroom as another avenue for providing an expanded positive vocabulary, and developing tools for self awareness, through gentle yoga classes.
My theory, was that a greater focus on positive self talk might encourage a wider and kinder vocabulary in students, as well as fostering a more gentle interaction in group dynamic, while balancing all of the major glands in the body though the postures, and might effect a more gentle physical shared experience.

“Yoga makes me feel calm” (kindergarten, grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7) *from a pool of just under 400 students

“Yoga makes me feel like I love everyone” (grade 1 student)

I taught that particular kindergarten class a series of four classes, stipulating that so long as children respected the personal space of one another, and stayed on their own matts, they could follow along in a way that felt right for their own bodies and self. Children delighted in being shown through their ‘island’ that their personal space was entirely their own for exploring their bodies and feelings. I was quietly amazed as the majority of the class followed every body shape and breathing technique. Children would learn from one class to the next how to navigate and distinguish between opposite sides of their bodies, balance in stillness on one foot, building strength and confidence in powerful shapes, and relax with their fertile imaginations unleashed at the end of the class. Their brains were flushed with freshly oxygenated blood through their first few movements, and the room would still to near silence. The child who had been bullying mine, carefully stayed on their own ‘island’ (matt) hugging their knees and rocking back and forth for the first year.

Soon after I was welcomed into that classroom, other teachers in the school asked if I would teach in their classrooms. I felt delighted to be sharing simple tools with children for self regulation, awareness and wellness. We practised breathing techniques that balance the pituitary and pineal glands, and shapes that revitalize our immune systems. Children learned how twisting can balance their insulin levels, or regulate the adrenal glands, helping us each to feel a deeper sense of safety and ease. That first year I taught in five different classrooms, with a span of kindergarten to grade 7, mostly in a volunteer capacity, happily sharing a positive dialogue and watching the children’s receptivity to perceiving themselves, one another and their learning environment in a new way. When working alongside that first group of Grade 7’s, the majority wrote of their experience, that yoga had significantly decreased their sense of anxiety and stress while in school. I quietly marvelled at the ways in which that hormone rich age group respectfully approached themselves and one another when asked to be squished so close together around their desks, upside down, twisted and exposed in unfamiliar experience.

“The best thing I learned about myself in yoga is how calm I can be.” (grade 5-7)

“The best thing I learned about myself in yoga is to be calm, to listen to my body.” (grade 3)

“My favourite shape in yoga is mountain because it helps me be strong and not afraid.”
(grade 2)
“My favourite shape in yoga is tree and mountain, it was peaceful to me.” (grade 3)

In those 20 – 40 minute long classes, I often felt as though I was watching small and large miracles. During the second year of practice the child who had bullied mine in kindergarten wrote of their yoga experience “Yoga makes me feel calm, and to calm down when I am upset before it.” (grade 1) During the second year the same child began to participate in over half the shapes (asanas). In the third year, the child is an exemplary leader, participating in every shape, often at the front of the class.

In their own words, elementary school students say that:

“Yoga makes me feel happy.” (kindergarten)

“Yoga makes me feel good.” (grade 2)

“Yoga makes me feel relaxed” (grade 3)

“Yoga makes me feel more healthy” (grade 2)

“Yoga makes me feel strong and brave” (grade 2)

After three years in an elementary school, in which children grades kindergarten to grade 3 received up to 16 instructional yoga classes each for a school year, I have had the good fortune to expand and teach in other learning environments.

“Yoga makes me feel relaxed free and confident” (grade 3)

Another elementary school, kindergarten to Grade 7 had an introductory 4 week session. The older children, in their first class looked around at one another with uncertainty, giggles, insecurity and embarrassment. I explained that our yoga classes were a time for them each to remember ways in which they were capable and powerful in learning to understand what feels good for their bodies, and to respect one another as each individual learned, breathed, bent and twisted in ways that were safe and comfortable. I also explained that yoga was time for developing an internal gaze, to explore our mental, emotional, physical and intuitive selves. During those four classes, the children’s eyes softened, no longer seeking nonverbal approval from one another, but closing their eyes to tune in more fully to their own experience. The embarrassment level shifted, and each child participated, focused on their own body and breath for a 40 minute class in relative silence.

“Yoga makes me feel good about myself” (grade 5-7)

“My favourite shape in yoga is stretching my legs because it makes me feel capable to do more things in life that make me feel good.” (grade 5-7)

What a remarkable shift I witnessed during an age in which hormones and peer acceptance can wreak such havoc.

“Yoga makes me feel amazing, I felt free.” (grade 5-7)

“The best thing I learned about myself during yoga is I’m actually better at things than I thought.” (grade5-7)

I have recently had the good fortune to be welcomed into two preschools where I spend a weekly session with 3yrs and 4yrs old. They are so focused, one could hear a pin drop. Their eyes are huge and round as they listen to instructions and seek to make new shapes with their bodies while using their imaginations for things such as ‘gathering handfuls of sunshine’ (during pranayama/breath) or ‘uncurling like leaves and flowers opening in spring’ (during asana/body shapes). I am also blessed with a few classes a year where kindergarten children and seniors in an assisted living home, practice chair yoga together. The elders watch the children, so focused and free in their imagining, and I see the elders light up in the shared imagining, oxygen saturation and gentle movement. Circulation benefits physical and mental health in all ways. When we have simple body movement, combined with conscious breathing, we are often offered gifts in elevated mood, and hopefulness for ourselves and this world.

When I spend time watching the children, noticing the way they respond to deepening their breath, and holding a shape in stillness, I continue to feel that I am witnessing small miracles.

“The best thing I learned about myself in yoga is that I am unique.” (grade 2)

“The best thing I learned about myself in yoga is that I am brave.” (grade 2)

A parent approached me in my second year and related a story of witnessing her daughter fall and hurt herself. The child sat up, shifted her posture and began to follow the deep belly breath she had recently learned in kindergarten. She was mitigating her experience of pain instinctively, seeking calm. The parent voiced amazement in watching the self analysis and transformation in her 6yr old.

“Yoga makes me feel relaxed and calm.” (kindergarten)

“Yoga makes me feel rainbows happy” (kindergarten).
I have had several parents relate instances where their children are incorporating movement and breath from school, into their daily lives. Some want to teach the rest of their family, everything they have learned that day. Others want to share in deep belly breathing at bedtime. When I drop off my child at school it is often to a chorus of children asking me “When do we have yoga next? Is it today?” Many of them are children such as the one who inspired my volunteering the first year, kids that struggle with focus or kindness, but are learning to the best of their current abilities, to assimilate self awareness, compassion and calm. These same children will mirror learning challenges in the classroom, such as a challenge to focus, through their body shapes in yoga. Through balancing on one leg for example, often children who have difficulty focusing in class, will be the first to fall over. Yet through the course of a year, those children will grow from holding a balancing posture, with focus from a single breath to 4-6 breaths in a row, an incredible shift in their mental and physical regulation.

Recently a friend asked me about teaching children’s’ yoga, and if I planned to continue in the upcoming years. I replied I was still passionate about teaching, and I believed learning to breathe and move for calm, strength, focus and power should be a basic human right. He cheered. I further explained that I often wondered “How powerful would we each feel as adults, if during times of heightened anxiety, stress, pain, frustration or anger, we naturally took a few deep breaths, finding a physical posture that helped us feel calm, or strong, or confident or focused, and then made our next choice, action or reply?” My daughter was riding her bike down a steep trail for the first time, and as she paused at the top of an unknown hill. I asked her if I could assist her.
“No Mama, I’m asking myself if I can do this.’ she replied, taking four deep belly breaths as we do at the beginning of each yoga class. At the end of the fourth breath I saw her smile. “My body says I can do this!” and she pushed off with confidence.

“The best thing I learned about myself in yoga is that I’m strong.” (grade 3)

“The best thing that I learned about myself in Yoga is that I am Powerful.” (grade 5-7)

“The best thing that I learned about myself in yoga is that yoga can calm me down” (grade 1)

“The best thing I learned about myself in yoga is that I could be peaceful.” (grade 2)

How could our professional and personal lives shift if we had learned at a young enough age, that it felt wholly natural, to balance our hormonal secretions, invigorate our organs and balance our circulatory, skeletal structure and the master glands of our miraculous bodies to the point that doing so was as familiar as reciting the ABC’s? Many of the children have assimilated their body movements and breathing to such a degree that I hear them whispering the instructions even before I voice them. They particularly focus on new shapes or breathing that teach them about their physical bodies such as compressing and detoxifying their lungs, or learning a sensory controlling posture, which inevitably brings absolute stillness and quiet into the classroom. One grade three student who often struggled with stillness and verbal quiet, asked to practice a particular sensory controlling pose every class, after learning it the first time. The student shifted to eagerly anticipating his yoga classes having experienced a way to self regulate with a powerful new tool.

“The best thing I learned about myself in yoga is I to find peace, and I never noticed so many things about myself before.” (grade 3)

“My favourite shape in yoga is downward dog because it stretches the back of my legs. Thank you so much for teaching this.” (grade 5-7)
“The best thing I learned about myself in yoga is how calm I can be.” (grade 5-7).

During a children’s yoga class I use vocabulary that focuses on the physical benefits, such as having their heads below their hearts and saturating their brains with fresh oxygenated blood which helps us feel calm, and better at problem solving. All language used respects the cultural differences, faiths and spiritual beliefs of our multicultural country. Some classes ask that I refrain from using the word ‘yoga’ I then explain we will be ‘stretching’ to help us all feel more ‘balanced’. I am happy to shift dialogue to be inclusive, just as I appreciate other educators doing so for my own child in alternate learning environments. Our classes have a predictable flow, with new shapes inserted that build on the foundations built in the previous classes. Children amaze me with balancing in stillness, in a core muscle building shape that also stimulates emotional confidence and using ones assertive voice. This shape is introduced in every class, the ‘boat’ posture, one I watch shift from two breaths in stillness to 6-8 breathes over the course of the year.

“The best thing I learned about myself in Yoga is that I am powerful and brave.”(grade 3)

There is also a focus on nature, and the ways in which our human self is connected to, and a mirror for the natural environment. At the end of each school year we brings our matts outside, where children are looking at mountains and trees as they make the same yoga shape with their bodies.

“Yoga makes me feel like I am in a field of flowers.” (grade 2)

In this way we foster a connection to our environment and a sense of belonging as well as fostering the confidence to be focused on the self even when the outside world provides distractions as everyday life passes the schools field in cars, on bikes, maintenance crews and dog walkers. Children train their internal gaze to allow that the outward environment can be erratic and unpredictable, yet through their breath and movement, they can complete tasks, invest in their personal health, and support one another’s individual experience by respecting time and space while others also focus and move with mindfulness.

“My favourite shape in yoga is tree because I feel tall and powerful.” (grade 5-7)

“My favourite shape in yoga is mountain because it makes me feel balanced.” (grade 3-4)

I’m not sure how many years I will have the joy of sharing yoga with children in a school setting. Like many things, it depends on the support of the teaching staff, the principal and the availability of funding. Yet for every year and every child I am able to teach, I feel a little more hopeful for our planet and species as a whole.

When I ask the children to imagine during their laying down restful time (savasana) and to think about the ways they have the power to build, connect, share, and create across this wondrous planet, as they lay quietly on their matts, relaxing at the end of the series, I cannot help but envision a future in which they take those words to heart, celebrating one another’s strengths and carrying just a little more acceptance into adulthood for the ways we all move, breathe and bend differently on all levels. During each class we say out load one positive self affirming statement, inspired by SO HUM (I am that, that is I). With their hands over their bellies they all roar statements such as “I AM BRAVE”, for it is brave to bend and shift, to giggle or fart with all your classmates baring witness. The children are given opportunity to say things such as
“I AM WISE
or KIND
or GENTLE
or POWERFUL
or CREATIVE
or STRONG.”
All of the attributes we carry as humans and choose whether or not to foster. Some of the children instruct one another on what the words mean, or share what they felt the word means when applied to themselves. When I asked children what the most powerful words were that had ever been spoken to them, I got answers such as ‘My dad told me I’m a kind boy, and I try hard at everything I do.’ or ‘My grandam told me she loved me.’ I then encouraged students to consider the power their words have on one another, before each student looked around the room and said “Thank you for being powerful friends.” It was an incredibly heart filling experience to see them looking at one another with the new understanding that they had the ability and the power to effect the way someone thought about themselves. Encouraging positive self esteem as the children grow older, will be such a huge part of the ways peers and individuals internalize feelings of being supported or criticized.
“Your weekly affirmations were beneficial to the children and helped them vocalize- and maybe even internalize-these important messages. This was my favourite part!”(kindergarten teacher).

After each class, the children go back to their regular learning schedules. They move back desks, and pick up bits of paper, they learn French and music and math, and all the many other systems our current schools incorporate. Yet, once a week or four times a year, during the first half of their day for 20 mins or half an hour, the rooms are mostly silent, the ocean of the floor punctuated by rainbow hued yoga matts, their islands that are just for them while breathing together, imagining, and taking note of all the ways we are each growing and changing every day. During this time, students are encouraged to be utterly themselves. To voice the colour of bird or magical creature their body shape represents, to feel welcome in expressing if they are fans of rainbow sparkles, kindness or courage. To build their warrior strength as both young women and men, and to see that every one of them is a superhero in their very own way. There are no tests, or expectations on my part as a yoga instructor. I ask them to give themselves the gift of doing the best that they are able on any given day, and if they ‘feel’ that they have invested in themselves, then I celebrate each of them. It is a small thing, this 20-40mins every two weeks, in the course of a life, but I witness small seeds of compassion and strength being planted during that time, that could blossom in unexpected and incredible ways as the children age. Perhaps a stronger connection to respecting their own bodies will influence the ways in which they are respectful of one another as adults in relationships both professionally and personally. Perhaps having felt what a balanced physiological system feels like, there may be slightly less of an inclination towards toxic substances that change the way their bodies and minds feel. I can only hope to bare witness over the years, as I have had the extreme good fortune to do this far, and have some of them become teachers in their own right in whatever field of study they choose to invest in as adults.

“The best thing I learned about myself in yoga is that it helps me to learn and try my best.” (grade 1)

“The best thing I learned about myself in yoga is that is makes me wake up so that I can learn.” (grade 1)

“The best thing I learned about myself in yoga is that I could get stronger.” (grade 1)

“The best thing that I learned in yoga is that it made me have a good day.” (grade 2)
For all of those yoga teachers out there who feel drawn to working alongside and empowering children, may you connect in a positive way in local studios, schools or private lessons with the students who can benefit most from the wisdom and wellness you carry.

With sincere thanks to each of the teachers and children who has thus far welcomed me into their classes, you all teach me every day!

with light,

Diffusing Anxiety

When I was a little girl, I had the good fortune to interact with a wise clairvoyant woman who assisted me on my path. I was eleven years old, and she said to me, “Your greatest challenge, will be to overcome Fear.” As a child I was afraid of very few things in this world. When discussing fear and the ways it can manifest with my parents, they discussed the concept with me that “behind Anger there is Fear, behind Fear there is Longing.

As my personal exploration into the nature of Fear deepened, I came to acknowledge that I was fearful of receiving and sharing my spiritual perceptions in many social instances. I also acknowledged a deep longing within myself to make changes and space in my life to be more aligned with my Soul Path. For the highly sensitive individual, and those who are newly ‘awakening’ or acknowledging their sensitivities and etheric perceptions for the first time, there can be moments where the ‘openness’ of our being is overwhelming and we experience anxiety. Many people guard their inner light, wisdom and knowledge, fearful of the rejection or of being ostracized by the world if they allowed themselves to express fully, who they are. When experiencing an intense time of transition or transformation, we can experience ‘fear’ as old patterns are realized and we are asked to choose new directions in our life and well being. Fear can manifest in many ways, one of which is to cause Anxiety. *Anxiety in this instance, I refer to as a feeling on the emotional, mental and spiritual levels, as well as exhibiting physical manifestations such as elevated heart rate, upset stomach, and hot or cold flashes. Each person deals with anxiety in their own unique way, yet we each benefit from developing further tools that diffuse and release fear.

On the etheric level, when I ‘look’ at myself or another person who is feeling fearful, the image is of a being beneath a dome of cement like energy. Outside the dome of heavy stifling, sometimes crushing energy, is all of the divine assistance, angelic light, ascended masters, guides and helpers a person is surrounded by. To shift, and crack, or release this energy, to break through the stagnant dome, is to allow for the assistance of these helpers to connect more clearly with a person.

When in the presence of anxiety I send out a prayer such as:

“Dear Divine Source of Creation, please send your warrior energy through Archangel Micheal or Kali Ma, to assist me now in releasing all fear based energy surrounding me at this time. I ask that my guardian angels bolster my courage to help me to see the ways in which I have the power to change my experience in all ways. Please help me to feel the bridge of light that connects me to the Divine and send me the assistance of Archangel Sandalphon to carry my prayers for change, wellbeing and self knowledge. Thank you, Amen, Aho and OM.”

After such a prayer, take deep breaths with hands interlaced across the stomach and facing downwards. Connecting with the third chakra, and the ‘power center’ of the being, what images, sensations, feelings or messages does one perceive at this time?

As a highly sensitive and clairvoyant person, I visualize a wave of light washing across the being, and disintegrating the dome of anxiety or fearfulness. When the wave of light on the etheric realm has disintegrated or washed away the anxiety, the mental, emotional and physical body are simultaneously offered an opportunity for positive alignment. I allow for the wave of light to infuse the cells of the body, to create space for the root cause of the fear to surface and be examined, so that release is possible.

Sometimes we must be willing to deepen our self awareness to find the root cause. For example, a few years ago I felt very anxious about earning more money. Yet when I meditated on what was truly causing me anxiety, I found that I wanted to switch career paths, that I yearned to take a chance on myself and follow my dreams for a spiritual based career. The fear surrounding money was actually a longing to invest in myself and to be more spiritually attuned so that I could express my inner Truth. Through allowing for the assistance of the divine to release the dome of anxiety I was carrying around, I began to ‘see’ the ways in which I had the tools, courage and power necessary to make the change I yearned for. Each person has the free will and personal power to develop their sensitivity and understanding of the energetic/ spiritual reality of the universe and of themselves.

When we allow that we can alter our reality on the spiritual level, we empower ourselves to make changes on the physical plane of existence. I have learned that in examining fear and anxiety as teachers and indicators that change is necessary for Divine heath, that we can all be empowered in our commitment to allow transition, transformation and healing in our lives.

Tools for Conscious Living

listening to the AUM of creation

I’ve been meditating on the tools available to us all for ‘clear reception’ from the etheric realm. There are natural rhythms that we all experience, where different aspects of the self, the physical, the mental, and the emotional all draw us away from focused etheric reception, into other experiences, lessons and growth. During times, where some of these other aspects, seem all encompassing, it can be helpful to remember some of the tools that are available for creating a framework on the spiritual plane of existence, that allows for clarity in reception of the supportive, helpful and love based messages of the highest vibrations, that are in existence each and every day for us all.

One of the simplest tools is through intentional thought. Simply think and allow for assistance from the myriad array of etheric helpers who have chosen to work with each of us on our life path. Each of us works in conjunction with guardian angels, ascended masters, archangels, spirit helpers, fairy and earth beings, and the divine god/dess force of the universe. The thought can be as simple as:

“Please God/dess force, send me assistance for clear reception today. Thank you.”

If what follows is a feeling, an image, or an idea for action such as walk in nature, an epsom salt bath, a high vibrational juice or food, time with a loved one or beloved animal, a particular color of clothing to wear, or journalling, sound creation, or artwork, consider your intentional thought effective. These are the first ‘clearly received messages’ with the assistance of your guides. Intentional thought is always effective. We may not receive the assistance in the manner we had expected, but we will receive clearer messages on further tools for our personal alignment.

Today I am working with the clear beaming blue silver radiance of the Christ Consciousness, a high vibrational resonance that is beaming with intensified directness towards and around this earth at this time. As written in the previous blogpost, the Christ Consciousness in my perception is the light and Soul Group energy that Jesus embodied during his life walk, yet it is not confined to that particular incarnation or ascended master. When I ‘look’ at the framework of light that connects souls and the cosmos at large, the Christ Consciousness is a fiery white light, with blue undertones closer to the planet, that carries aspects of the divine masculine force of the universe and weaves souls, gridlines, cosmic mandalas (such as the flower of life), and human incarnations to the etheric realm.

People on the plant have both a physical body, as well as a spiritual signature. The light that is radiated by individual beings extends out into the etheric realm in a unique vibration that has tones of both the present life experience, as well as the tones or vibrations of the greater Soul experiencing the life path, and the paths that have been experienced before. I see the Christ Consciousness as the tone that resonates as an additional ‘rope’ connecting the physical being and the etheric being like a bridge, or anchor.

This light, that works with us, is moving into a more discernible ‘brightness’ or ‘sound’ for each of us. The karmic shifting on the planet over the last two years, is allowing the spiritual realm to be ‘closer’ in the universal consciousness than in many generations and years past on this planet. Though we are often shown images of despair and destruction on the planet, people on a mass scale are also radiating with levels of loving intention, consciousness for peaceful change, and intentions for co-created sustainable future on a global scale that has not yet been seen on this planet. In previous ages and dimensions of this planet, there has been a dichotomy of fear based and love based intentions. These still exist, but where they were divided in places of history where entire races of people were dedicating life paths to one or the other, humanity has evolved to a place where we are each given choices daily to choose love or fear. We, the human race, is no longer locked into a pattern of one or the other for an entire lifespan. We are all capable of changing the course of our lives, every single day.

On a grander scale this means, that at any time, any individual, group, community, government or country can choice to work with love based intentions. It gives the planet an incredible opportunity to drastically change within the span of each day. Like waves rising from the ocean, we are each able to become apart of the wave, to rush forward with power intensity towards anything and everything we wish to effect.

Consider the power of one kind action in our day. The kind action can begin for ourself. We choose to start the day with a thought, an etheric tool such as a positive affirmation like:

“Today I will receive assistance from the Christ Consciousness in connecting with my Courage to speak about love, and that which truly matters to me in this life”.

That intention, has directed the building wave of our/your day to follow the energetic framework outlined by a single thought. This does not mean obstacles may not arise during the day, but with a continued choice to work with ones guides, higher self, and courage, the day will build intensity in the manner in which the soul/person has chosen. As a person continues forward, passing near others, the vibration they emit with such an intention has an effect on others. Other people in encountering this vibration, are given their own choice. Will they begin to raise their vibration to match, will they choose to also work with the courage of self, their own unique gifts, and truth for the world? Or will they reject the wave of energy, dig their heels in and decide “not now”? Either choice is made with free will.

The Christ Consciousness, a tangible aspect of the light of divine masculine with the will to act and manifest is interwoven in all living beings. Every single person has access to the light that can assist them with courage, manifestation of personal truth, and divine consciousness. What amazing knowledge it can be, to connect and feel this energy reality. To know that when humans work together, from a place of conscious intentions and choice we are able to effect such incredible change.

May today be a day of clear reception of your highest Self and vibrational gifts for this planet.

With light and respect for your journey,

Kamia
