Reception and the Timelessness of Being

I meet people every day, who see between realities; into fairy, onto the planes of those that are still in the process of joining light, acting as guides and guardians, ascended masters and angelic beings.  I notice the beauty of their gifts, even while seeking to send them a prayer for self acceptance.  Sometimes the road is many lifetimes long, and for those of us who have the capacity to share with art or words or healing touch, gentle encouragement of unfolding, we are blessed with the responsibility of amplifying the radiance in others.

Many people are born with a high sensitive awareness of the spirit realm.  In certain cultures this can be validated through oral traditions, ancestral teachings, or a devout culture of spiritual practice. Praying over places on the earth where great trauma has occurred, for example, helps to unlock and invite healing into the memory the earth plane carries, as well towards the energy imprint that Souls who past in such places have left. In other cultures such as the west, some people with high sensitivities, and several life times worth of divine wisdom to share, may choose to block reception to feel a greater sense of ‘belonging’ in environments that do not prioritize spiritual gifts. The awareness of the Soul, however is not dampened permanently, it is rather like turning down the volume of a radio, reception is still occurring regardless of the volume we have sought to implement.  At different times in life, a person may undergo a powerful life change and seek to open, tune in anew, or raise the volume of their receptive qualities once more.  During times such as these, life in general can have a sense of being overwhelming.  Just like a high volume on the radio, we drown out different receptive qualities, based on that which we highlight, or choose as priority of focus.  For example, much of waking life requires attention to detail; driving, chores, work tasks, family care taking.  Yet, there is a portion of our awareness that is constantly receiving intuitive information; a field that held a battle of long ago, a building with deep sorrows and many innocent deaths, a roadway where a spirit travels seeking to understand that the body no longer houses them, and their family is far away.  We may also be receiving the imprint of Ley lines, the patterns of energy that move in conjunction with this blessed earth, where power flows to direct pure water, regrowth, animal interconnectivity, and doorways between realities.  Like overlapping pieces of silk, the fold of time and space, allow those with a particular ‘knowing’ to perceive both the beauty that this earth offers us all, and the pathways that have been walked before us, and beyond us, in a circular reception of manifestation.

In previous blogposts and for entire chapters of ‘Soul Evolution’ I have discussed the concept that sending a prayer out into the cosmos, through my clairvoyant perception, is like a beam of light that travels seamlessly through time and space and can effect positive change on multiple levels of being.  For those who are just discovering, or (rediscovering) their gifts I offer this Prayer:

“Dear Divine Source, Please send angelic warriors to the space surrounding these readings, to cut through chords of lower vibrations related to fear, or disempowerment sent forward through physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual pathways in any direction of time or space.  Please surround these people with an aura of Divine Love, Light and Protection, so that encased in a globe of radiance, their own beautiful Soul’s feel safe to share and express the gifts brought forward into this life-walk.  May the messages that are received, for each persons particular sensitivities, be accompanied by the comfort and solace of their Guides and Guardian Angels.  Please send clear messages each time they ask, for healing, health, courage and grace to be present to remind them, they are not alone in their ‘knowing’.  May all feel connected at the heart to the potential of this wondrous planet for evolution and change,  And may all receive support on a daily basis from nature to encourage further ‘knowing’.  With gratitude for the many light based peaceful warriors who are incarnated at this time, Amen, OM and Aho.”

How do we direct the flow/reception of our intuitive divine source guided wisdom, to be received and processed in the most healthful for our individual beings experience? The first step, is of course to accept that this reception is occurring. Through acceptance we work towards an assimilation of all that we are.  Discernment of that which we receive that is distraction, or clearing of karmic debris, vs that which we receive as possible timelines for a betterment of humanity as a whole is a lifelong process.

What barriers we choose to create as filters of the stimulus our body and being seek to assimilate into daily life must, however, be an individually determined pathway.  Some people may chose to devote a meditative space to each day for reception and integration; ten minutes less sleep at the beginning of the day as the sun rises, and the intentions for wellness are offered forth into the day.  Others may have an hour a week, a carefully protected space of time and energy they utilize through journalling, movement or art.  Some may wait a decade and book a vacation retreat during which the backlog of receptive knowing rockets through the consciousness in a massive wave.

Any tools we give ourselves for sorting through that which we receive, ideally help to increase our vital life stores and self esteem. For those who are seeking to shift conscious levels of being in a more focused daily manner I offer this gentle practice that has been useful for me over many years.  Again, the words used, the time allotted, each is can be based on what ‘resonates’ for the individual who is practicing.

  • When seeking to reconnect with the many levels of being, to assimilate messages from this physical reality, yet to identify and move through the imprints of energy that are all around us each day, we begin by purifying the body.   Some people may choose to pray over a glass of water each morning, (‘Soul Evolution’ offers prayerful words and practice for clearing the energy of a fresh new day,) for clarity and cleansing.  We honour that these bodies are the receptive tuning instruments for the vibrational spectrum of reality in all ways.  (Physical level of Being)
  • Next we ask for protection and grace from the Divine.  The God/dess that resonates with us most in name, image or feeling.  Ascended Masters can act as resources for learning, but Divine Source is what ultimately allows us to surround our energetic being with light and shield. (Spiritual level of Being)
  • From a place of protection we create a solid framework on the energy plane by acknowledging that which we are willing to receive throughout the day; this can be simple such as these two  phrases I have often used:

“I am Willing only to explore Joy and Lightness of Being today.”

Or

“Today I honour grief I am currently releasing from this and previously lifetimes, with assistance form the Angelic Beings in alignment with me at this time, for  aligning with divine health.”

Giving ourselves permission to voice with the power of our will that which we are willing to receive throughout the day can have profound effects on our life experience.  (Mental level of Being)

  • Next we tune in to the emotional experience our day flows through.  We may have feelings of sorrow and joy, boredom and humour, elation and despair during one days cycle.  We feel so deeply on the human plane, and it is such a gift to experience the intensity and learning that emotions offer.  Throughout the day, we can explore how each emotional experience relates to the intention we set forth.  When we asked for a joyful day, what occurred?  Did we take note of the joyous flight of a bird, even as we witnessed sorrowful experience in those around us, both living or on the energetic level of being?  Did we see the beauty of a flower even as we sent a prayer for those who passed in distress in a place or location we inadvertently visited and ‘received’ an inner knowing about?  Emotions do not nullify our reception and integration of that which exists on the spiritual and physical plane.  We can have intense joy that exists alongside sorrow.  Our intention for the day will not halt our capacity to grow and experience life, yet it can help us to identify the resonance that we sought to align with.  Some of my deepest understandings of Joy came during tragic moment in my life.  When the depth of Love and appreciation of this experience of living was so poignantly clear. (Emotional Level of Being)

A day lived with a return to attention of that which surfaced as the mind awoke and the spirit and body recognized union of self, can afford a deep level of Peace when repetitively practised.  When we stop blocking our intuitive wisdom, we often experience a profound shift in Perception.  We may over time explore new jobs, partnerships, relationships with ourselves and the world at large.  Or we may simply find that the vitality of each day has become more vibrant as we embraced a more unified understanding of our own gifts. Choosing self discipline for repetitive spiritual sacred space and awareness can effect massive life shifts.  The wellspring of wisdom that so many Souls carry, could shift the energy of this world in miraculous ways.  Yet, to do so, we must all make free will choices to allow ourselves to ‘see’ Clairvoyance, ‘feel’ Clairsentience, ‘hear’ Clairaudience and ‘know’ Claircognition, more.

Patience and compassion for ourselves and the world at large.

Moving through Barriers, Lightening our Etheric Loads

We each carry energy with us until we are ready to process it or share it ,for individual, mutual or communal healing.  On the spiritual level, peoples auras and energy bodies shift and change.  Picking up pieces of memory from one another, from different places on the planet, or during astral travel.  We all learn, through uncovering  new levels of personal consciousness, in direct relation to our feelings surrounding ‘safety,’ and empowerment. There can be moments in Life in which we may find, we suddenly feel as though a physical load has been removed from our bodies, and yet there has been no removal of an actual cloth and metal frame back-pack, from our physical life.  Energy burdens, lessons, the connections we choose in support of one another, as well as the heavy karmic debris we work through in each lifetime, can have a very physical ‘feel’ of alleviation when we have mastered or completed a particular etheric lesson, pattern or shift.

Those who are highly sensitive, who feel comfortable, or continue to seek in their spiritual unfolding, become adept at the shedding and gathering, and eventually the dismissal of these energy loads as time and life allows. We all experience moments of heaviness on the etheric level, sometimes as we carry another person, or a room full of people or an entire family.  Yet we are all capable of moving through barriers or obstacles that feel as though they are physically present, to realize that everyone on their own experience of life, is entirely capable of carrying themselves. Even the brightest of spirits benefit from time in sacred space, contemplation and can go through long years of exploration on a deeper level that feels very heavy as they clear multiple lifetimes, and genetically transferred patterns passed down through multiple generations of ancestors.

For highly sensitive Souls, there may come a time in which we may feel an impulse  to ‘see’ the truth of ourselves and our current reality, and yet feel as if we are blocked by a heavy energy from our past in this or previous lives.  Sometimes barriers that we ‘sense’ to our ability to perceive on multiple levels, are in place because they are keeping us safe in some way.  Opening to our gifts of clairvoyance, claircognition, clairaudience and clairsentience, may not need to happen instantaneously.  If we were to know all, or see all, at once however, on all of the other levels of self, we would require immense time, space and emotional safety to be ready to process and assimilate this knowledge.  An example of a barrier I ‘sensed’ in a close family relationship, as discussed in ‘Soul Evolution’ Chapter 2, related to a familiar theme many light workers carry of a past life memory of persecution.  To work through this energy block, I needed time and space and age to processes painful feelings of loss and betrayal attached to that lifetime. Yet when I had the sacred space needed, I was able to move through that resonance, through a clairvoyant dream. Quite quickly, I was then able to see the valuable beauty and lessons I could bring forward to lighten my own energy and the communal energy of so many through healing that aspect of soul memory. Yet for myself, time alone at a particular age, was what I had been ‘waiting for’ to lighten my personal load and ‘see’ on a new level.  Through patience and discipline in the spiritual practice that resonates most with us at this time, we all have the power to begin/continue to ‘see’ in new ways.  Yet we shift the energy instinctively at a speed that is healthful for our mental, emotional and physical integrations.

A Prayer/Affirmation/ Mantra that I have found useful in the past when seeking to move beyond personal or perceived barriers on the etheric level is as follows:

“Dear Divine Source, Godd/ess of Creation, please help my Higher Self be amplified in conscious present at this time.  Please surround me in the protective light of the highest resonance, through which on Love may enter and all fear based vibrations are held at bay.  Please send me clear messages through feelings, sight, sound and spontaneous understanding surrounding {describe relationship/situation/perceived barrier} I ask that all karmic debris be cleared in the most gentle manner for my personal sense of Empowerment and healing at this time. Please send empowering light through the Guardian Angels of those who effect me at this time, so that they too, may remember they have choices for personal well being and knowledge.  I am willing and ready to Heal in the ways that I need, and to share messages of healing with others through dedication to my own authenticity and unfolding.  Thank you, Amen, OM and Aho.”

Every person on the planet is a powerful healer in their own right. We all have the power to  shift in consciousness personally.  We all have the power to encourage others to seek personal awareness, empowerment and unfolding.  It is okay to acknowledge that paths we take may differ from those we Love, have loved or will love in the future.  To support their personal speed for enlightenment, or seeking new levels of consciousness.  Through the wheel of time, the many lifetimes we may choose to cycle through, we will all have multiple opportunities to ‘lighten’ our personal spiritual loads, to move beyond barriers on each level of being and to offer a helping hand to another.  Just as given time, water flowing  changes the shape of rocks and stones irrevocably, so too do lives lived in devotion to authentic being, change the experience of the following lifetimes, of the children whom carry the familial genetic code that follows, and to a world that is slow, slowly evolving with Compassion and Potential ever day.

With patience for ourselves and one another,

Will and the Word

Energy healers, shamans, medicine people, light workers, and the teachers of many ancient spiritual mysteries, were aware of the power of intent and Personal Will.
Through my clairvoyant perceptions, the Law of Free Will when utilized, looks like strands of energy woven together that surrounds each individual. When able to harness our core essence, and project it outwards into such a light web, we create a safety net and personal boundary framework to filter out that which we are not willing to attract, and to amplify and welcome energy one has chosen to draw towards the self and into the Soul Path.
Through a belief in free will, we are able to choose different pathways, renegotiate said pathway, turn around and climb a few stairs to a new trail, or meander in any direction along our Soul Path. The concept of ‘The Law of Free Will’ is a popular term in current spiritual teachings. The law of Free Will dictates that in our current incarnations, we have multiple potentials for making a wide variety of choices that bring us closer to, or further away from, our core resonance and Divine gifts.

Willpower is a very real tool for etheric levels of creation. If one has a strong connection to ones core, the ‘Will’ broadcasts an equally strong framework/web/ safety net of all that which one has chosen or continues to choose in the future. The words that we think or choose to voice have as much power as we give them. For example, we can infuse the words ‘I Love You’ with incredible energy and power to change another perceptions of the light that is offered them the manifest universe. When we make a conscious choice, and give voice through prayer in our minds/hearts, written word, or speaking out loud, we create an energy field that honours that choice. Perhaps it will take an individual years of practice to connect with their internal power source, their core essence, or perhaps a person will incarnate with intuitive trust in utilizing this will. It is through directing our Will that we may choose to learn in a new way, to navigate massive life changes with struggle or harmony. For example, a pattern of repeating words in our head, whether in self support or criticism, clearly emits on the etheric level, and often manifests as a self fulfilling prophecy either for positive or negative manifestation and attraction.

To maintain the power of the framework we have set, we can choose to maintain commitment of personal will whenever thoughts or challenges, surrounding a choice surface. A person could for example choose to draw upon their core essence, and the power source of the divine networked of lIght, God/dess, to create a framework of ‘I will only attract positive opportunities for career/relationship/personal health development.’ The power of this statement relays on the power of the persons personal Will to build the framework that filters or amplifies. The framework is supported by the actions that also support each opportunity for growth.

For those who seek to identify current patterns, to renegotiate energy exchange and to voice their personal Will through words of power, I first allow my senses to unfold and to visualize myself within a pillar of white light. (White light is a powerful way to hold all external energy at bay, while the internal self re-configures and grounds into empowered being.) Once incased in white light, through the power of Will one can use a prayer/mantra/affirmation such as this:

“I call on the Divine Source to infuse my being with clarity and wisdom. To identify the patterns of manifestation, personal self worth and potential that I carry within my subconscious and conscious being. Please send the light of Archangel Micheal and Shiva to cut through fear based self fulfilling prophecies, so that more space is available in my energy body to be infused with empowered light. I am ready to grow and will approach this growth with courage and resilience. Thank you God/dess for guiding my new levels of awareness in a healthful and easily assimilated manner, and for opening new levels of consciousness through clairvoyance, clairaudiance, claircognition and clairsentience that remind me of all of the choices I may Freely make. Thank you, Amen, Om and Aho.”

We are each asked to clearly identify the current patterns and energy field we are broadcasting on a deep level. Do we truly believe we deserve to fail due to circumstances in adolescence or previous decades? Do we choose to take the steps towards our ultimate goals through struggle, with the will to persevere? Do we actually allow our true sense of personal Power, our Will, to be present in all of our decision making? Or are we giving our personal power away to an external force, another person, or self destructive familiar pattern?

What do we each ‘see’ or ‘feel’ is revealed through this devotion of energy and focus to truly perceiving our current life choices? What empowered aspects of self do we now choose to honour or courageously step forward towards? Ancient cultures fostered dreamers, those who could see beyond the physical, to the potential of what had been, could be or might be through the Will and focus of individuals or the masses. What does our individual heightened awareness allow us to Dream for humanity as a whole?
We are all powerful beings, especially when we give ourselves permission to trust the incredible power of our core self, and to direct this with our Free Will to affect personal and cosmic change.

May we each remember to be powerful,

*Fostering imagination and expansive thought can be a powerful tool towards self empowerment as an energy worker. I was battling my way through adolescence towards elf acceptance, I loved to visit the walls of books one of my siblings had amassed. From floor to ceiling, shelves held the precious colourful escape, many highly sensitive individuals seek when attempting to synthesis their multi-dimensional perceptions with the current culturally accepted ‘world’. Fantasy books are filled with gems of wisdom; energy work, commitment to a heroines or hero’s quest towards personal enlightenment, struggle, loss, colour and magical spirit guides in the forms of mythical creatures and landscapes. The phrase “The Will and the Word’ often appears in the delightful fantasy series ‘The Belgariad’ by David Eddings.

The Inner Marriage for Healthful Relationships

We all have a divine masculine and feminine aspect of self. We carry the capacity for these qualities to exist in sacred union within our core. Like an inner marriage, or a spiral of light the two qualities of our being combine to create a central power source that feeds and fuels our life experience, past lives and future incarnations.

This aspect of being on the internal level, the etheric union of self, is mirrored and explored through the relationships that we encounter on the physical plane. Seeking to find a balanced level of divine masculine or feminine self, we will often attract partners, relationships and connections that offer learning and growth. Our highest level of being, our Soul, seeks to filter our natural divine light into our consciousness in a number of ways. Sometimes our relationship experiences seek to spark our protective, self sustaining, fierce or courageous qualities. Other times we are sent opportunities to explore vulnerabilities, softness, gentleness or humour.

We each have an infinite number of qualities, gifts and experiences we are able to attract during the course of several lifetimes. With the gift of clairvoyance, when working alongside others, and exploring my own previous lives, I often see the ways we are each pass alongside previous soul encounters, past life loves, in our current lifetime. The chords of light that connect us to one another and through time and space, carry the resonance and echoes from past lifetimes. How we approach the interactions in our current lifetimes, will renegotiate the energy exchange both in the present and into future encounters, should we incarnate alongside once more. As a teen/young adult I felt bombarded by past life connections. People who I had died alongside, loved or felt hurt by, appearing in this present life with no ‘memory’ of me. Those learning opportunities, many painful, eventually helped me to clearly create boundaries of what I sought to learn as an adult. Many people experience intense connections throughout the course of their present lives, that are deeply impacted by the past life resonance the two individuals share.

With devotion to self awareness, we are offered ample chances to notice the way the divine masculine self, or feminine aspects of being were encouraged, distracted, or depleted through particular combinations. In adult relationships, many people seek to find their soulmate to experience divine and sacred union. Yet it is in connecting and fostering a union of self, that the wholeness of being, that some attribute to an outside source, is truly celebrated. Once this inner marriage occurs, the Soulmate that help to amplify the inner union of self, is more easily attracted into tones energy field.

Through a union of self, the tone of all other relationships will shift. Through discovering the unique qualities of being that are ones own strengths and nurturing qualities, we are each able to identify the ways other people can encourage, support and be celebrated in their own ways for meaningful and lasting relationships. Marriages of all kinds take constant determination by both parties to be growing, recommitting, and honestly exploring the ways the inner marriage of self, the core power source is radiant or feeling depleted of light. A person may have a fierce inner warrior masculine energy that attracts several partners who seek to explore their own warrior self, yet in all honesty, when finding the mate that is most likely to amplify the balanced self, the person may choose someone with a gentle and healing divine masculine attribute. Together the two energies create a balance of light exchange in union, and with the world at large. In another circumstance, the divine feminine aspect of being may have a powerful knowledge or energy for rebirth, death and regeneration, and attract fiery qualities in relationship that help to feed this intense emotional level of being. Yet in balanced partnership the partner who is most suited to amplifying those gifts may carry a grounded divine feminine light who has gifts for patience instead of fire.

Partners, romantic relationships, and marriages all amplify qualities within the two parties in some way. We may choose on a soul level to wade through the intensity of feeling that comes from exploring imbalance for several years, or lifetimes. Yet we always have the power to choose to devote honest exploration of soul path as individuals and to encourage growth and soul development in the beloved. To honour our need for years or lifetimes alone, or those times in which partnership is most aligned with our being. Some relationships last an eternity, through several lifetimes. The resonance of love and union resurfacing to offer gifts through a casual encounter in one life or a union of decades in another. Yet, through each interaction we can ask ourselves courageously, does being with this person bring forth the gifts I have to share with this planet? In a way that provides space and energy for my partner to also amplify their gifts?

The following are two prayers I often use in committed relationship, in the eternal endeavour to balance a unified self and in honouring my beloved husband:

For union of Divine masculine and feminine qualities in the self:

“Dear Divine Source, God/dess of Creation, please send your angels to assist me in uncovering the aspects of self that are in need of the most Love and attention for empowered balance. Please help me to clearly identify the gifts I carry as an individual in a unification of Divine masculine and feminine qualities, to share with this beautiful world. I ask for the assistance of the Archangel Micheal, to cut through chords of fear, as I explore the ways I empower or disempower myself with current life choices. Thank you for the sending the gentle energy of the Divine Feminine in the aspect of Parvati to help me assimilate the ways I am able to nourish and sustain myself through healing, strengthening, self compassion or transformation. Thank you, Amen, OM and Aho.”

For renegotiating energy exchange with the beloved:

“Dear Divine Source, God/dess of Creation, please help a balanced energy of Love and well being on all levels, flow between myself and my partner. Please send the Archangels most attuned to our soul paths at this time, to assist us as individuals in union as we seek to better support one another with the highest vibrations of Love. May we each have the courage, the grace and the compassion to bring out the divine light we foster, for the good of our marriage, our community and the world at large. Thank you, Amen, OM and Aho.”

The power of words when prayed, affirmed or spoken aloud, carry the resonance of our intent. If it is with a faith and pure intention that we seek to know ourselves as individuals and to honour the individual journey of our partners, we are better equipped to identify what needs to shift in relationship, either with ourselves or one another to bring about a more balanced flow of energy on the physical, emotional, mental or spiritual plane. If one quality of being or one person in relationship is always the dominant energy, the imbalance will amplify energy that is perhaps not for the highest good of any. It is a constant renegotiation of ones light, core seIf, soul purpose and feelings of deservedness for joy, that we each must navigate. Yet we are all multidimensional beings, capable of balance, of investment and diversity of energy. We can be honest about where our focus must be for partnership balance and health. We are all capable of amplifying our own and one anthers light. May we each choose to find balance within ourselves, and to help create balance in the world at large through relationship.

Lighting Our Way Through Dark Nights of the Soul

The Soul travels through time and space, retaining knowledge of what pathways of light are sustaining of hope, what pathways of choices ultimately contribute to collective despair. The Akashic Records and our multiple reincarnations offer us ample opportunities to identify when a pattern or challenge is familiar, and we are equipped with free will to navigate it in a variety ways. Each of us, on our human incarnated present journeys, are asked, tested, so to speak, by circumstances in life that we have co-created, on an etheric level, how will we deepen our reservoirs of compassion? How will we create bridges together through grief, to the bliss of being on all levels, spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically aligned?

Every spiritual devotee and seeker, must exist in the physical world and must experience the trials of developing or ignoring their personal gifts, or enhanced perception. Yet with each individual that commits to celebrating their gifts, energy vibrations lighten for the generations that follow and for those people that are interacted with on a daily, or soul path, basis. Through acknowledging that we go through continuous cycles of rebirth, death and dying, through uncovering the joy that fills the space between each release of old patterns, we become like master builders/teachers on each level, capable of intentionally constructing networks of light that support, elevate and encourage the collective unconscious as it radiates Love.

When a spiritual seeker is developing their skills, we each are given ample opportunity to fine tune our intentions, strengths and faith. Like the tasks that heroes and heroines of old were asked to preform to become worthy of their titles, each person incarnated on the planet is offered multiple scenarios and learning experiences to finely tune their particular gifts. Some of the lessons we experience deepen our wealth of compassion; we may experience deep wells of grief, frustration, confusion or other forms of human suffering. Yet, through those experiences, we are all ultimately offered the choice of what we will actively contribute on a grander scale having explored and survived such scenarios. Do we choose to turn the depth of our emotional experience into a lantern, helping hand, or a beacon of hope for others? Or do we recreate the lesson multiple times by seeking out those who reflect the emotional intensity of a scenario that is familiar, as we are offered choices repeatedly on how we wish to develop or unfold?

Our energy selves yearn to unfurl, like the wings of birds or butterflies, or waves crashing against the shore. Our energy bodies are often held in tightly against our perception of what physical space we ‘should’ occupy as humans.
Yet, when our vast and Soul rich self, is acknowledged, we are offered gifts for perceiving how in previous lives, we also moved through and beyond challenges, ever evolving and deepening our knowledge and wisdom of human, and spiritual experience. What are the gifts that rush to the surface of the psyche when we create new space through release? We each have gifts that contribute to the gifts of others around the globe. One persons kind or brave act often inspires or assists another person in honing their particular gifts. An artists work with a subject matter of a trial or pattern they have recently chosen to move through and beyond, for example, may help acknowledge and then heal the emotional wounds another carries, whom then becomes an advocate for people in trauma, whom in turn one day choose to raise families with acceptance and compassion, whom in turn build new communities, businesses and stories of their own that effect thousands.

On days in which I acknowledge that something that has been familiar, is ready to transition into a natural death cycle in my psyche, I take a moment to consider all of the ways in which I have learned from the pattern I wish to release. If I sense a friendship, a past-life loved one, a job, a lifestyle choice, or a thought pattern, that I am ready to move beyond, I am best able to identify it by seeing/acknowledging the space within me that no longer carries a desire to experience the intensity the situation evoked on an emotional, spiritual, mental or physical level. Once I have identified this space that is ready to be honoured, I say a prayer such as:

“Dear God/dess of Creation, please surround myself and my loved ones in globes of divine light for protection, courage and strength. Please help me to honestly see the ways in which I have been feeding this (pattern/scenario/relationship) and clearly identify what needs to shift within my being to effect positive change in honouring my highest Truth and Soul Path. Thank you for assisting my clarity and infusing this situation with the healing I am ready to integrate and accept to move beyond this pattern, and to invite divine health into my life on all levels. Thank you, Amen, Aho, and Om.”

I then visualize sending the learning lesson deep levels of Love. As a clairvoyant person, this Love is something I perceive as like a river of light. I thank each person who contributed to the pattern, even those that caused pain, for without that discomfort, perhaps, I would not have recognized my desire to grow. And with the love that is being sent, I then release the feeling/image/pattern/scenario, in my mind, seeing the pathways of light that connected me, dissolving and flowing away from my energy body like a leaf moving down a river. As the lesson moves out of my etheric field, I often feel a ‘lightening’ as if it is more possible to draw a deep and full breath, as new space has been opened up around my being.

We are all so connected to the etheric level of creation and this physical human experience in which we can awaken repeatedly in one lifetime, to infinite knowledge. We need not be caught in despair or anger, we may choose new pathways each and every day. We may be highly conscious, totally sensitive evolving souls who learn with every breath that we are blessed with, in our current bodies. All people have compassion and gifts to offer when making choices with focused intent for a more healthful existence and cohabitation of this wondrous planet.  As sensitive awakening beings, the souls incarnated on this planet have a millennia of knowledge, wisdom and perception that sees through the veils of current reality, to the possibilities, the incredible vision of what individuals and groups working in collective manifestation, are capable of contributing.

Thank you for shining.
with light and respect,
Kamia

Metamorphosis and Light

Innocence and Relationship

Simple Pleasures, Celebrating this Life

Life is such a gift. A balanced spiritually devout being is not asked by the Divine to reject the physical world or the body that houses us. To fully bring forth the gifts we are each carrying, we are asked to make peace and practice love within the body we inhabit. We each carry intuitive knowledge of what the ‘wild self,’ the essence that is our purest form, is craving for celebratory Joy. Our energy bodies, vast, expansive and carrying the wisdom from thousands of reincarnated lives, are offered Balance through this cycle of life, with both the deep sorrows and grief we can survive, counterposed by the absolute delight in being alive these bodies and incarnated selves are capable of experiencing. Our wild selves may need serious unleashing, yelling in the forest, or pounding at top speed up a mountain, But sometimes that intuitive voice, that yearning to let go, and unfold the wings we are each carrying, can be as sweet and simple as sunlight on our upturned faces or feeling the soft petals of a flower as our fingers trail through a garden; our Souls way of physically, mentally and emotionally honouring a longing, an impetus for change, for radiance and colour and a saturation of the precious nectar of life. We can feel equal delight from a meditation in which we are connected with our soul groups on the spiritual plane, to the delight that is possible when our toes curl in grass, or sand, or mud. Feeling the power in our arms when we hold someone close, sharing the rhythm of one another’s heart beats connects many levels of being with the beauty and joy of this life.

When was the last time we each gave ourselves permission to experience a moment with joy and total abandon? The restraints of social normalcy, ego based ‘should’s’ and repression of our personal passion, thrown out the window, while we spun in reckless self expression? There is such joy in ‘feeling’. I feel with my senses in so many ways and carry deep gratitude for those who request assistance on the etheric level, through Certified Angel Card Readings ™. Yet, if I am not ‘present’ within my body and self, I have less connection to etheric power to bring forward into facilitating healing, or to any area of my life.

When I seek to find a way to be more ‘connected ‘ to the essence of both spiritual light, and incarnated abundance, I retreat into a silent manner of being, whether outside or in a pool of sunlight within doors. Sitting, I lengthen my spine and take eight deep breathes. Placing hands over top of my navel, plans facing up for reception, or downwards for grounding.  A prayer/affirmation that I have found useful is:

“Dear Divine Source, God/dess of Creation, please help me to clearly identify the ways in which my purest essence of self is asking to be expressed, acknowledged and celebrated at this time. Please send my the assistance of Archangel Micheal to cut through any chords of fear that are blocking my receptivity to clearly perceiving the messages my Higher Self and intuitive wisdom wish to share at this time. Thank you, Amen, Aho, and OM.”

The essence of self may ask to shed layers of energy, it may wish to shout into the woods, or into a pillow. It may need to cheer enthusiastically or sing at top volume in outrageous, colourful delight. Or, it may need to place the emotional burdens of carrying those that one loves, down onto the earth and to again trust that the Divine Source is capable of cradling us all while we are learning to navigate letting go, moving forward and rediscovering our individual passions for this life. Sometimes it takes a devotion of time and energy, a promise we choose to make to ourselves, after or before all of the household, professional and family responsibilities have been managed for the day, and we escape for solitary and balancing time, a simple practice such as letting our hair flow in the wind beneath a passionate apricot and nectarine toned sunset. Somedays being connected can manifest in the gentle inspiration for changing the colours that we habitually wear. For the highly sensitive, colour and texture effect our levels of receptivity and sense of ‘belonging’ with the divine. Other days the messages may be more intense, asking for difficult conversations to occur between ourselves and our inner union of Divine Masculine and Feminine qualities, or with another person who has an impact on our well being. During those times, we each have the capacity to identify that change, growth, transformation and intuitive wisdom can release a myriad array of emotions. Yet, when we give ourselves and others permission to express emotion, we honour that we each deserve emotional health.

In what ever capacity, we are each drawn to connecting, celebration and honouring the different levels of ‘self’ we each have, may we do so with boldness, colour and delight. For truly, this life, for all that it brings during times of despair, offerings us equal measure to choose to be present with Joy, with delight and with the simple pleasures of being incarnated and alive during this time of momentous potential for change and higher consciousness.

with light and respect for your journey,

Planting Seeds for Compassion, Teaching Children Yoga

When my daughter began kindergarten in 2012, like many parents, I hoped her school experience would encourage her curiosity to learn, provide opportunities for kindhearted friends, and gift me with five blessed hours of alone time. In the first few months of school she would confide in me over lunch, the joys, the sorrows and the frustrations of navigating her new social and education reality. I delighted in hearing that her new best friend was kind and helpful, and that her teacher devoted time and energy to each child’s particular learning needs. One day she asked me what a particular swear word meant. When I asked where she had encountered it, she explained a classmate had taken to calling her that and stepping on her hands or kicking her when saying it.

I went to the teacher immediately to ask what could be done to stop the violent words and behaviour. The teacher explained that the particular child was receiving a lot of support from the school and came from adverse circumstances. After hearing the child’s story, I altered my approach from asking for intervention, to offering my presence in the classroom as another avenue for providing an expanded positive vocabulary, and developing tools for self awareness, through gentle yoga classes.
My theory, was that a greater focus on positive self talk might encourage a wider and kinder vocabulary in students, as well as fostering a more gentle interaction in group dynamic, while balancing all of the major glands in the body though the postures, and might effect a more gentle physical shared experience.

“Yoga makes me feel calm” (kindergarten, grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7) *from a pool of just under 400 students

“Yoga makes me feel like I love everyone” (grade 1 student)

I taught that particular kindergarten class a series of four classes, stipulating that so long as children respected the personal space of one another, and stayed on their own matts, they could follow along in a way that felt right for their own bodies and self. Children delighted in being shown through their ‘island’ that their personal space was entirely their own for exploring their bodies and feelings. I was quietly amazed as the majority of the class followed every body shape and breathing technique. Children would learn from one class to the next how to navigate and distinguish between opposite sides of their bodies, balance in stillness on one foot, building strength and confidence in powerful shapes, and relax with their fertile imaginations unleashed at the end of the class. Their brains were flushed with freshly oxygenated blood through their first few movements, and the room would still to near silence. The child who had been bullying mine, carefully stayed on their own ‘island’ (matt) hugging their knees and rocking back and forth for the first year.

Soon after I was welcomed into that classroom, other teachers in the school asked if I would teach in their classrooms. I felt delighted to be sharing simple tools with children for self regulation, awareness and wellness. We practised breathing techniques that balance the pituitary and pineal glands, and shapes that revitalize our immune systems. Children learned how twisting can balance their insulin levels, or regulate the adrenal glands, helping us each to feel a deeper sense of safety and ease. That first year I taught in five different classrooms, with a span of kindergarten to grade 7, mostly in a volunteer capacity, happily sharing a positive dialogue and watching the children’s receptivity to perceiving themselves, one another and their learning environment in a new way. When working alongside that first group of Grade 7’s, the majority wrote of their experience, that yoga had significantly decreased their sense of anxiety and stress while in school. I quietly marvelled at the ways in which that hormone rich age group respectfully approached themselves and one another when asked to be squished so close together around their desks, upside down, twisted and exposed in unfamiliar experience.

“The best thing I learned about myself in yoga is how calm I can be.” (grade 5-7)

“The best thing I learned about myself in yoga is to be calm, to listen to my body.” (grade 3)

“My favourite shape in yoga is mountain because it helps me be strong and not afraid.”
(grade 2)
“My favourite shape in yoga is tree and mountain, it was peaceful to me.” (grade 3)

In those 20 – 40 minute long classes, I often felt as though I was watching small and large miracles. During the second year of practice the child who had bullied mine in kindergarten wrote of their yoga experience “Yoga makes me feel calm, and to calm down when I am upset before it.” (grade 1) During the second year the same child began to participate in over half the shapes (asanas). In the third year, the child is an exemplary leader, participating in every shape, often at the front of the class.

In their own words, elementary school students say that:

“Yoga makes me feel happy.” (kindergarten)

“Yoga makes me feel good.” (grade 2)

“Yoga makes me feel relaxed” (grade 3)

“Yoga makes me feel more healthy” (grade 2)

“Yoga makes me feel strong and brave” (grade 2)

After three years in an elementary school, in which children grades kindergarten to grade 3 received up to 16 instructional yoga classes each for a school year, I have had the good fortune to expand and teach in other learning environments.

“Yoga makes me feel relaxed free and confident” (grade 3)

Another elementary school, kindergarten to Grade 7 had an introductory 4 week session. The older children, in their first class looked around at one another with uncertainty, giggles, insecurity and embarrassment. I explained that our yoga classes were a time for them each to remember ways in which they were capable and powerful in learning to understand what feels good for their bodies, and to respect one another as each individual learned, breathed, bent and twisted in ways that were safe and comfortable. I also explained that yoga was time for developing an internal gaze, to explore our mental, emotional, physical and intuitive selves. During those four classes, the children’s eyes softened, no longer seeking nonverbal approval from one another, but closing their eyes to tune in more fully to their own experience. The embarrassment level shifted, and each child participated, focused on their own body and breath for a 40 minute class in relative silence.

“Yoga makes me feel good about myself” (grade 5-7)

“My favourite shape in yoga is stretching my legs because it makes me feel capable to do more things in life that make me feel good.” (grade 5-7)

What a remarkable shift I witnessed during an age in which hormones and peer acceptance can wreak such havoc.

“Yoga makes me feel amazing, I felt free.” (grade 5-7)

“The best thing I learned about myself during yoga is I’m actually better at things than I thought.” (grade5-7)

I have recently had the good fortune to be welcomed into two preschools where I spend a weekly session with 3yrs and 4yrs old. They are so focused, one could hear a pin drop. Their eyes are huge and round as they listen to instructions and seek to make new shapes with their bodies while using their imaginations for things such as ‘gathering handfuls of sunshine’ (during pranayama/breath) or ‘uncurling like leaves and flowers opening in spring’ (during asana/body shapes). I am also blessed with a few classes a year where kindergarten children and seniors in an assisted living home, practice chair yoga together. The elders watch the children, so focused and free in their imagining, and I see the elders light up in the shared imagining, oxygen saturation and gentle movement. Circulation benefits physical and mental health in all ways. When we have simple body movement, combined with conscious breathing, we are often offered gifts in elevated mood, and hopefulness for ourselves and this world.

When I spend time watching the children, noticing the way they respond to deepening their breath, and holding a shape in stillness, I continue to feel that I am witnessing small miracles.

“The best thing I learned about myself in yoga is that I am unique.” (grade 2)

“The best thing I learned about myself in yoga is that I am brave.” (grade 2)

A parent approached me in my second year and related a story of witnessing her daughter fall and hurt herself. The child sat up, shifted her posture and began to follow the deep belly breath she had recently learned in kindergarten. She was mitigating her experience of pain instinctively, seeking calm. The parent voiced amazement in watching the self analysis and transformation in her 6yr old.

“Yoga makes me feel relaxed and calm.” (kindergarten)

“Yoga makes me feel rainbows happy” (kindergarten).
I have had several parents relate instances where their children are incorporating movement and breath from school, into their daily lives. Some want to teach the rest of their family, everything they have learned that day. Others want to share in deep belly breathing at bedtime. When I drop off my child at school it is often to a chorus of children asking me “When do we have yoga next? Is it today?” Many of them are children such as the one who inspired my volunteering the first year, kids that struggle with focus or kindness, but are learning to the best of their current abilities, to assimilate self awareness, compassion and calm. These same children will mirror learning challenges in the classroom, such as a challenge to focus, through their body shapes in yoga. Through balancing on one leg for example, often children who have difficulty focusing in class, will be the first to fall over. Yet through the course of a year, those children will grow from holding a balancing posture, with focus from a single breath to 4-6 breaths in a row, an incredible shift in their mental and physical regulation.

Recently a friend asked me about teaching children’s’ yoga, and if I planned to continue in the upcoming years. I replied I was still passionate about teaching, and I believed learning to breathe and move for calm, strength, focus and power should be a basic human right. He cheered. I further explained that I often wondered “How powerful would we each feel as adults, if during times of heightened anxiety, stress, pain, frustration or anger, we naturally took a few deep breaths, finding a physical posture that helped us feel calm, or strong, or confident or focused, and then made our next choice, action or reply?” My daughter was riding her bike down a steep trail for the first time, and as she paused at the top of an unknown hill. I asked her if I could assist her.
“No Mama, I’m asking myself if I can do this.’ she replied, taking four deep belly breaths as we do at the beginning of each yoga class. At the end of the fourth breath I saw her smile. “My body says I can do this!” and she pushed off with confidence.

“The best thing I learned about myself in yoga is that I’m strong.” (grade 3)

“The best thing that I learned about myself in Yoga is that I am Powerful.” (grade 5-7)

“The best thing that I learned about myself in yoga is that yoga can calm me down” (grade 1)

“The best thing I learned about myself in yoga is that I could be peaceful.” (grade 2)

How could our professional and personal lives shift if we had learned at a young enough age, that it felt wholly natural, to balance our hormonal secretions, invigorate our organs and balance our circulatory, skeletal structure and the master glands of our miraculous bodies to the point that doing so was as familiar as reciting the ABC’s? Many of the children have assimilated their body movements and breathing to such a degree that I hear them whispering the instructions even before I voice them. They particularly focus on new shapes or breathing that teach them about their physical bodies such as compressing and detoxifying their lungs, or learning a sensory controlling posture, which inevitably brings absolute stillness and quiet into the classroom. One grade three student who often struggled with stillness and verbal quiet, asked to practice a particular sensory controlling pose every class, after learning it the first time. The student shifted to eagerly anticipating his yoga classes having experienced a way to self regulate with a powerful new tool.

“The best thing I learned about myself in yoga is I to find peace, and I never noticed so many things about myself before.” (grade 3)

“My favourite shape in yoga is downward dog because it stretches the back of my legs. Thank you so much for teaching this.” (grade 5-7)
“The best thing I learned about myself in yoga is how calm I can be.” (grade 5-7).

During a children’s yoga class I use vocabulary that focuses on the physical benefits, such as having their heads below their hearts and saturating their brains with fresh oxygenated blood which helps us feel calm, and better at problem solving. All language used respects the cultural differences, faiths and spiritual beliefs of our multicultural country. Some classes ask that I refrain from using the word ‘yoga’ I then explain we will be ‘stretching’ to help us all feel more ‘balanced’. I am happy to shift dialogue to be inclusive, just as I appreciate other educators doing so for my own child in alternate learning environments. Our classes have a predictable flow, with new shapes inserted that build on the foundations built in the previous classes. Children amaze me with balancing in stillness, in a core muscle building shape that also stimulates emotional confidence and using ones assertive voice. This shape is introduced in every class, the ‘boat’ posture, one I watch shift from two breaths in stillness to 6-8 breathes over the course of the year.

“The best thing I learned about myself in Yoga is that I am powerful and brave.”(grade 3)

There is also a focus on nature, and the ways in which our human self is connected to, and a mirror for the natural environment. At the end of each school year we brings our matts outside, where children are looking at mountains and trees as they make the same yoga shape with their bodies.

“Yoga makes me feel like I am in a field of flowers.” (grade 2)

In this way we foster a connection to our environment and a sense of belonging as well as fostering the confidence to be focused on the self even when the outside world provides distractions as everyday life passes the schools field in cars, on bikes, maintenance crews and dog walkers. Children train their internal gaze to allow that the outward environment can be erratic and unpredictable, yet through their breath and movement, they can complete tasks, invest in their personal health, and support one another’s individual experience by respecting time and space while others also focus and move with mindfulness.

“My favourite shape in yoga is tree because I feel tall and powerful.” (grade 5-7)

“My favourite shape in yoga is mountain because it makes me feel balanced.” (grade 3-4)

I’m not sure how many years I will have the joy of sharing yoga with children in a school setting. Like many things, it depends on the support of the teaching staff, the principal and the availability of funding. Yet for every year and every child I am able to teach, I feel a little more hopeful for our planet and species as a whole.

When I ask the children to imagine during their laying down restful time (savasana) and to think about the ways they have the power to build, connect, share, and create across this wondrous planet, as they lay quietly on their matts, relaxing at the end of the series, I cannot help but envision a future in which they take those words to heart, celebrating one another’s strengths and carrying just a little more acceptance into adulthood for the ways we all move, breathe and bend differently on all levels. During each class we say out load one positive self affirming statement, inspired by SO HUM (I am that, that is I). With their hands over their bellies they all roar statements such as “I AM BRAVE”, for it is brave to bend and shift, to giggle or fart with all your classmates baring witness. The children are given opportunity to say things such as
“I AM WISE
or KIND
or GENTLE
or POWERFUL
or CREATIVE
or STRONG.”
All of the attributes we carry as humans and choose whether or not to foster. Some of the children instruct one another on what the words mean, or share what they felt the word means when applied to themselves. When I asked children what the most powerful words were that had ever been spoken to them, I got answers such as ‘My dad told me I’m a kind boy, and I try hard at everything I do.’ or ‘My grandam told me she loved me.’ I then encouraged students to consider the power their words have on one another, before each student looked around the room and said “Thank you for being powerful friends.” It was an incredibly heart filling experience to see them looking at one another with the new understanding that they had the ability and the power to effect the way someone thought about themselves. Encouraging positive self esteem as the children grow older, will be such a huge part of the ways peers and individuals internalize feelings of being supported or criticized.
“Your weekly affirmations were beneficial to the children and helped them vocalize- and maybe even internalize-these important messages. This was my favourite part!”(kindergarten teacher).

After each class, the children go back to their regular learning schedules. They move back desks, and pick up bits of paper, they learn French and music and math, and all the many other systems our current schools incorporate. Yet, once a week or four times a year, during the first half of their day for 20 mins or half an hour, the rooms are mostly silent, the ocean of the floor punctuated by rainbow hued yoga matts, their islands that are just for them while breathing together, imagining, and taking note of all the ways we are each growing and changing every day. During this time, students are encouraged to be utterly themselves. To voice the colour of bird or magical creature their body shape represents, to feel welcome in expressing if they are fans of rainbow sparkles, kindness or courage. To build their warrior strength as both young women and men, and to see that every one of them is a superhero in their very own way. There are no tests, or expectations on my part as a yoga instructor. I ask them to give themselves the gift of doing the best that they are able on any given day, and if they ‘feel’ that they have invested in themselves, then I celebrate each of them. It is a small thing, this 20-40mins every two weeks, in the course of a life, but I witness small seeds of compassion and strength being planted during that time, that could blossom in unexpected and incredible ways as the children age. Perhaps a stronger connection to respecting their own bodies will influence the ways in which they are respectful of one another as adults in relationships both professionally and personally. Perhaps having felt what a balanced physiological system feels like, there may be slightly less of an inclination towards toxic substances that change the way their bodies and minds feel. I can only hope to bare witness over the years, as I have had the extreme good fortune to do this far, and have some of them become teachers in their own right in whatever field of study they choose to invest in as adults.

“The best thing I learned about myself in yoga is that it helps me to learn and try my best.” (grade 1)

“The best thing I learned about myself in yoga is that is makes me wake up so that I can learn.” (grade 1)

“The best thing I learned about myself in yoga is that I could get stronger.” (grade 1)

“The best thing that I learned in yoga is that it made me have a good day.” (grade 2)
For all of those yoga teachers out there who feel drawn to working alongside and empowering children, may you connect in a positive way in local studios, schools or private lessons with the students who can benefit most from the wisdom and wellness you carry.

With sincere thanks to each of the teachers and children who has thus far welcomed me into their classes, you all teach me every day!

Sign Posts for Life Purpose

Sign posts for life purpose can occur for many of us in times of heightened awareness. A memory that is as vivid as the present perhaps, such as the way one felt as a child, youth, teenager or young adult. It could be a moment in which a song left a deep emotional response, or someone told us something that changed the way we saw the world, through the years. We all must pass through trials on the mental, emotional, spiritual and physical level that test our commitment to self acceptance, Love and soul truths, yet during these times, we are often offered ‘sign posts’ to remember that we have choices in the paths we each follow and direct the course of our lives.img_2938

For example, we may remember a time in which we were very aware of an injustice or imbalance in the world as we experienced it. In those moments of heightened awareness and memory, we are viewing a ‘sign post’ of self that offers a choice regarding what we contribute to the world and the future generations individual or collective experience. Many people will seek to reject their understanding of self at some point in their lives. This can be a survival technique, when outside influences overwhelm the senses, or when one is in a situation in which one feels powerless. Many highly sensitive souls will yearn for the light connections they experienced before they entered a physical body, and feel as though their life walk is very lonely or separated from the source during transformational times in childhood, adolescence or adulthood. Yet, in attuning to the particular sensitivities we all carry, we become aware that we can be both physically present and spiritual expansive, a radiant conduit of light and Divine Source that effects our personal and collective experiences.

When I was a child and began elementary school, I was often overwhelmed by the ‘noise’ of so many people in close proximity to myself energetically. The thoughts, feelings and emotions being emitted in a social setting, often felt as though they were drowning out my own perception of personal identity and feeling, as a highly sensitive and clairvoyant child. I certainly felt that being so highly sensitive was something I wished to escape instead of embrace. I remember being in grade one and wishing desperately that the class had some ‘quiet time’ each day, so that I could sort out my feelings and boundaries. Yet all these decades later, I have the extreme privilege of teaching children yoga in classrooms of elementary schools. I get to help create a peaceful half hour for each child to learn, integrate, interpret and balance their own being. What a gift, that all of those years ago, I felt so strongly as a child myself, that I have helped to manifest a reality that nourishes my past memory and future generations self awareness.

We experience sometimes joy, and other times pain, during the growth or challenging scenarios that remind us of our extreme sensitivity. Yet, when we emerge, having chosen to accept our own beauty and gifts, just as they are, we are offered the experience of the blissful nature of our Light and Soul, radiant and pure. Through the trials that test or challenge us, I ask all to remember, we are connected in many ways, we are each never alone on the spiritual level of being, and we all, have so much power for bringing compassion, peace and divine Love into this world.

IMG_1775

A prayer that can be helpful in attuning to ones own light is:

“Dear Divine Source, God/dess of creation, please help me to accept the ways that I am truly sensitive, so that I may foster the strength this sensitivity gives me for bringing about positive change in my life and the world at large. Please send me clear messages and signs that I can easily recognizes with my sensitivity, that help me to trust I am working in accordance with my Soul Purpose, or able to change course to connect more deeply with what is blissful. Thank you Amen, Om and Aho.”

There are times in life in which many of us will feel as if we are drifting without a fixed course, wondering if we are passengers or captains of our own ship. Yet, as we attune to the ways in which we are personally sensitive and receptive to the Divine Source, and our intuitive, psychic sense of knowing, we are able to discern that even during times in which we are drifting, there are several ‘sign posts’ along the way that offer guidance towards our life purpose. The spiritual realm is rich with messages that come forward to each of us in a number of ways.

We may be clairsentient, and responsive with our physical bodies through reactions to a landscape, person, societal or cultural phenomena. Or we may be clairaudiant, and have a heightened awareness of sound, or words, that stay with us, or rise to the surface of our consciousness. We have have spontaneous ideas, creative problem solving or dreams that appear in our minds, encouraging us to follow a new path in alignment with our gift of claircognition. Allowing a job path or relationship to develop in which it is safe to foster these spontaneous messages, understanding and inspirations to be spoken or written about for the physical world to explore. We may be clairvoyant, in that the image of both past, present and future possibilities resurfaces during times in which we seek to alter our course in life, connecting more firmly with the direction that affords the sharing of gifts with humanity and the celebration of self acceptance.

In whatever way our ‘sign posts’ manifest, it is our personal responsibility to pay attention and have faith that we do, in fact ‘know’ on a deep instinctive level what our Soul  and Life Purpose on this planet truly is.

Thank you for shining,

with light,

Kamia

Authentic Voice and Inner Calm

Recently I have had several people comment that I am very calm, which often surprises me. My internal landscape has volcanic eruptions of emotions, etheric pendulums of cosmic unfolding, and a mental dialogue at the speed of a hummingbirds wing. Yet I accept these comments, as a reflection of a personal dedication to balance. Through the authenticity of acknowledging what I need in each moment to find a balanced self, balance can resonate like calmness.

img_2416

No matter how old we are in physical body, we have aspects of ourselves that will forever be as pure and innocent as a young child. In the capacity of acknowledging that this aspect of self exists, we are offered the choice to honor the words, action and movement that can be practiced to bring about personal authenticity, calm and empowerment. Our words, beliefs and faith in the outside world often mirror the words that we use with ourselves.

I have the good fortune to work with a few hundred children, sharing in the gifts of Yoga. Children are receptive on so many levels. Their ‘intuition’ and heightened sensitivities, their sixth sense, is finely tuned to discerning the nonverbal cues adults send around them each and every day. If we seek to empower them to feel safe, confident and supported, one of the ways to do so, is to attune our inner voice with our outwards voices and actions. Before I teach and share yoga with the children, the future generations who will be caretakers of our planet, I empower myself to seek personal balance. In my personal practice I feed myself honesty. The words, the feelings, the movements and breathing that my being is calling out for, in its search for balance. On days where I am sleepy, vulnerable or discouraged, I empower myself to be honest on an internal level with these feelings. If we are feeding ourselves with gentle, loving kindness such as ‘I know you are doing the best that you are able to at this time. Thank you, I am proud of you.’ Instead of a negative or hurtful thought pattern, other people we encounter, particularly children, will hear gentleness and loving kindness in the words that we use with them. Authentic internal voice may sometimes say ‘I expected better from you today,’ But it can also say, ‘I forgive you and know that you can do better. I love and respect you in the ways that you are growing, changing and learning every day. In this inner dialogue, we begin to see changes in our outward lives.

Many parents have told me they wished they could feel a greater sense of calm when with their children. I offer them this gentle encouragement. ‘Instead of seeking to appear calm, give oneself permission to acknowledge what the self is truly seeking to feel Balanced, the calm follows honoring ones authentic self.’

If we are willing to be forgiving and kind internally, the world around us shifts and reflects this seeking for personal balance. Peoples actions, choices and impact then gather the momentum for us to recognize ways that we can be encouraging, forgiving and supportive of others. Children especially will feel a devotion to balance and kindness radiate off of us.

One of the prayers I use out loud or internally when seeking to acknowledge my authentic voice and self is:

“Dear God/dess, Creator and Light source of this magnificent earth, please help me to receive the gifts of self knowledge that allow for accurate identification of the thoughts, words, movement and color I need at this time to reconnect with a Balanced sense of Self. Please send the light resonance of the Archangel Micheal and Shiva to cut through all lower vibrations of self doubt or negativity I have been feeding myself. Please send the compassion, beauty and grace of Quan Yin and the Archangel Jophiel to assist me in seeing the beauty I have to share on an authentic level with all those I influence and encounter. Thank you beautiful earth for cradling my footsteps, as I stand in stillness or walk in new directions that honor my Soul Path. Thank you, Amen, OM and Aho.”

What are the words we can each feed ourselves in this moment to afford an opportunity for balance or self healing? Placing our hands over our heart centers we can take a series of deep breathes and ask our intuitive selves, ‘What do I need at this time?’ Whatever the answer, we are then given the choice to listen and honor the intuitive, innocent self that answers.

May we choose Compassion and Grace.

With light and respect for the ways we are each seeking balance at this time,

Kamia
