Healing Past Life Relationships for Present Life Wellness

IMG_1971

Some of the hardest relationships to let go of, either in friendship or as romantic partnerships, are those in which we are connecting with a soul from a past life, from which one of us died a significant amount of time ahead of the other.  In many ways, one of the soul then spent several years mourning the loss of the companionship, and as light often calls to light, another lifetime has come into being in which we are attracted to one another.  In some cases this can be a healthy reunion, built around mutual respect, affection and supreme love.

In other cases however, some of the emotional debris from the previous life can muddy and complicate the present incarnations relationship in an unhealthy, yet seemingly inextricable way.

An example of this might be of two friends of a similar age, yet one of which requires allot of ‘mothering’ from the other.  Though neither are a mother in this life, one constantly is the recipient of the late night  requests for problem solving, and seems to continuously require a fountain of nurturing.  With meditation and prayer, one of the friends has a vivid memory of being a parent in a previous lifetime.  In this scenario as in all others of such a reunion, it takes two people determined to be actively aware of themselves and their energy bodies, to help heal the wounds from the past, and move forward into a brighter future together.  If only one soul wants to grow into a new bond in this present life, the relationship cannot continue.

Identifying these kinds of relationships can be accomplished by praying before sleep for a message, image, or dream to recognize the previous lifetime.  If you are an individual who does not often remember dreams, it can be accomplished by seeking out an energy worker, angel card read or psychic you feel safe and comfortable with and asking them to ‘read’ the energy surrounding the relationship.  A few strong indicators that a connection has unresolved karmic debris from other lifetimes influencing the present day interactions are:

1. You feel exhausted after casual interactions with a person

2. A relationship ‘feels’ far more intensely real to you than the other person seems to be feeling in return.  Your desire for a deeper soul level connection is rejected repeatedly by this person, and they seem not to understand you.

3.You have never met a person before, yet the first time you lay eyes on them you experience a very intense emotional response (love, fear, anger, yearning, surprise, a full spectrum of all and more).

A positive prayer to release past life trauma and heal karmic debris is:

“I call on my higher self, angelic helpers, God/dess and spiritual guides and guardians to please help to surround me in a spiral of light.  I ask that all past trauma in relationship with “insert name” be healed for the mutual and individual benefit of us both.  I pray that on a soul level we are able to forgive and be forgiven by one another, so that our divine life purpose in this present life can be celebrated and met. Thank you angels for helping to clear my energy in this way, I receive your blessings of health, on all levels with open arms and heart.  OM (or Amen)”

During this prayer in vision a spiral of light surrounding your body from the tips of your toes to the sky.  It can be a combination of vibrant colors, or gleaming white light.  As the spiral circulates, allow the ‘debris’ to be sucked into it and carried up into the sky where it can be transformed by the angelic realm.  Notice any areas in the body that experience momentary lightness, or a relief of pain and be gentle with them.  Take an epsom salt bath and indulge in self nurturing.  Just as taking off a bandage can reveal tender skin, so to can healing karmic wounds leave the Self feeling newly vulnerable.

If this prayer creates a positive change in ones own self esteem, it is important to be aware that we all heal in different ways and at different stages.  If the person you wish to heal with begins to drift away from you, sometimes the last stage of healing is that you let one another go.  If the souls have truly healed the past life trauma, then they each have the opportunity to begin a new learning experience together, based on mutual love and respect, or to attract new learning and evolutionary experiences with other light beings.  Letting go can be sad, it can release grief from both  or many lifetimes together, yet I promise you, that the greatest of loves never die.  They are brilliant colors on the energetic plane that still connect the souls that feel them.  True love is limitless, and supports the individual soul path of each of us.  If the love was from the purest part of the soul, then it continues to connect us, past time, through new lifetimes, and across the boundaries of the physical world.

With light and respect for your journey,

Kamia

Blessings in Retreat

I can remember the first time my mom told me ‘you are your own best friend’.  I was around four.  I was disappointed, it seemed like someone else would be more fun to play strawberry shortcake with. Over the years however, I have taken that advice to heart, for truly, as many wise people will say, the beliefs and attitude we carry about ourselves, are reflected in the relationships we invite into our lives, and the learning opportunities we create through them.

I have recently returned from a much need ‘retreat’.  An immersion in the natural world, and my own inner silence.  The lesson I am most grateful for, is the remembering of my ability to nourish my Self.  Much of day to day living is a challenge to remain centered in our inner truth.  Yoga, meditation, artwork, music, nature, dance, all are reminders of the infinite beauty and light we carry within, but if we do not allow ourselves the time, to truly connect internally, some of this beauty can feel out of reach.

Retreat is not about giving up responsibility, or no longer fighting for what we believe in.  In my heart and mind, retreat is about allowing that we must step forward as ‘our own best friends’ and acknowledge that we need a section of time to allow for inner healing, processing of buried emotions, and self kindness.

Even five minutes a day in ‘retreat’, a special outdoor bench, the bathtub, or a pool of sunlight on the floor, can be turned into a ‘sacred space’ through which, in a meditative state, we connect with our ‘inner knowing’.  The ego tells us ‘you can’t, you don’t, you don’t know how.” The inner knowing replies, “I am able, I am strong, I deserve love, I can do this.”

From the place of inner knowing, we are better able to differentiate between our responsibilities to ourselves, and the subsequents gifts and responsibilities we have in regards to others: family, friends, the world at large. When we nurture and nourish ourselves, we lead with a powerful example for those around us that they too deserve to find a place of peace within, and act, instead of re-act, accordingly.  In marriages, as one person grows, we give our partner’s an opportunity to grow.  We cannot grow for them, but we can encourage them on their own journey.  In parenting we are able, from a place of inner peace, to encourage our children to know and express their own unique gifts, needs, and truth.  As co-workers, from a place of inner knowing, the small ways in which the people around us express their own desire to reignite their inner flame, become more obvious, and less like criticism or ineptitude. On the grandest of scales, it is with a connection to our inner self, that we are abel to look around at the world that surrounds us, to feel gratitude for it’s goodness, to wish to shine light into the places that are filled with fear, and to celebrate the blessings of being incarnated as a human at this time.

Truthfully, as you are your own best friend, you open your receptive nature to connecting with your angels, your guides, your animal helpers, and the very soul of the earth around you.  In being ‘your own best friend’ you are creating an opportunity to allow the divine to reach through, send healing and energy to your heart and self, and to realize that you are supported by many etheric beings.

May your life afford an opportunity for ‘retreat’ whether for a week, a month, a day or even five minutes this afternoon,

With loving kindness,

Kamia
