Every person has gifts to share and explore. Some of them will be on the physical plane, of existence, while others will have gifts that they share on the mental or emotional plane. Others still will have gifts that they fine tune and continue to explore on the spiritual plane. We all are gifted in our own way. In this same variety of gifts, people all have their own experiences of dreaming. Some will feel connected when speaking of dreams through heightened sensitivity. There can be an etheric ‘remembering’ from past lives, when mystics, and medicine peoples from past incarnations were more open and free to educate us all on the power of our Dreaming lives. Dreams are multilayered and diverse and sometimes, when sleeping, we can sense we are travellers between different levels of reality. The energy body is free to travel between dimensions, the present as it exists, the past and the future as they co-exist. Through each experience of the dream state, we are asked to nurture the strong chord of light that connects our astral self to our physical body. Life choices in the substances we ingest, healthful habits for physical strength, and gentle practices of meditation or other stress relieving actions, all contribute towards having a clearer ability to discern the astral self and our retention of our higher selfs view, as well as the importance of integrating back into the physical body after a dream state that brought our energy body ‘elsewhere’.
In past ages dreamers and seers were revered for what they experienced in a dreamlike state. They trained from early childhood to discern between ego, fear, alternate realities, possible futures and divinely guided messages. They had the capacity to ‘see’ the possibilities for our collective future, for the light that travels between the divine source and this planet and our people. They were masters of ‘discernment’. Many people in the present have forgotten to retain what they dream, as our western cultures do not always highlight the importance of the Dreamer. And yet, all innovative thought, all world changing initiatives originate from a sleeping or waking Dream. Whether waking or sleeping, the images we retain, the intuitive leaps of faith that we make, these are all levels of dreaming. What are the dreams we allow ourselves to retain from childhood? What are the dreams we dare to foster at this time? What are the dreams we would ask for the Divine source of the universe to support as this world moves forward? Sometimes, when we seek to creatively problem solve our way through a current life challenge, we can receive divinely guided insight while sleeping.
A prayer/affirmation for a restful/healthful sleep:
“Dear Divine Source, please help my astral body to stay connected and safe during all of my dreaming experiences. Please help me to radiate with the highest vibration of Divine Love, so that as I learn, experience and navigate alternate levels of being, I do so with the guidance and protection of Archangel Micheal, the light ray of courage and strength. I ask that all dreams come through in a way I can easily integrate and understand during waking life, and ask for the assistance of God/dess in discerning what wisdom, knowledge and grace I can carry forward into my waking life for the betterment of my individual and the collective, experience. Thank you, Amen Om, and Aho.”
One of the tools that can be valuable for those that feel they ‘travel’ during sleep, is to nurture a reintegration process that allows for self kindness on awakening. A dream journal combined with a renewing practice that honours the physical body through ‘grounding’ movement such as yoga, a nature walk or other moving meditative, can contribute to a balanced sense of self. Day to day life makes demands upon us all, yet the personal experience of heightened awareness seeks to integrate our ‘higher self’ with our life as we live it. As energy beings we have no limits on what we are capable of perceiving, and yet in many present cultures, our ‘agreed upon rules’ of what constitutes reality are often confining to those with heightened awareness of their astral bodies. Some of what we dream will never come to pass, some is occurring simultaneously, and sometimes we are simply clearing out our subconscious book shelves of outmoded patterns or memories. There can be experiences that are fearful such as dreaming of a past life death, or travelling through alternate reality of a lower vibration than ones current life experience, after which perceiving, we can each benefit from self acceptance and gentleness. In the same way, if we awake form a dream in which we felt saturated in Divine Love, radiant with light and soul purpose, we may also need time and sacred space to integrate the spiritually/etherically/dream state into conscious life, so that we may radiate that same loving vibration throughout our day. People can dream of exchanging energy with one another when asleep, of visits from a past loved one who is on this plane of existence or has moved beyond the physical. Some can dream of helping those in need, by bringing what light the energy body radiates, in prayer and loving intention across vast physical distances.
In whatever capacity, waking or sleeping, we are each experiencing a dream state, may we bring forth the highest vibration of divine Love, compassion, grace of God/dess and the wisdom of all our energy being selves, to help navigate through this miraculous gift of Life. For all of the dreamers, may we each find tools for healthful integration, self kindness, and patience as we navigate our human experience.
