Dream States and the Edge of Consciousness

As with all sentient beings, we act as a type of ‘filter’ for divine source.  We see and reflect, refract and transmutes the divine source, the fabric of the manifest universe, that is birthed into matter, and light, and wisdom and collective unconscious.  We can purify the filters over the course of a thousand lifetimes, to ‘see’ or perceive in incredible ways.  We may also incarnate and have the ability to ‘see’ through multiple levels of reality after carrying light in a specific way from only a few lifetimes.  

Each person is capable of offering their particular aspect of light expansion, in their own unique way.  One personas beauty does not cancel out the beauty of another persons entirely different and still valuable, gifts. Indeed, some of the very opposite in perception can weave together beautifully to create a framework, or tapestry of thought and possibility that deeply benefits the world at large.  Physically minded or spiritually minded, emotionally sensitive, or mentally focused, together each can offer explanations that deepen another individuals connection to their life path by helping to activate cultural or spiritual Memory for a more empowered sense of belonging and compassion.

We all have ways that we ultimately allow for a relaxation of the mind, to create space for heightened sensitivities on the spiritual realm. When I focus my clairvoyance, to ‘look’ and to ‘see’ when someone has asked me for guidance, it is a relaxation of the mind not a huge effortful push.  Like a person who is drifting off into a renewing slumber, we can relax into the navigation of different levels of consciousness.  Relaxation does not mean the same thing for every individual.  Relaxation for one might only happen when intense physical activity has occurred.  In the expression of adrenalin, they open up a space within the consciousness mind to feel ‘safe’ directly afterwards or during, because truly being relaxed for that person might actually equate to physical strength  as indications of safety.  Another may find a pathway through to their akashic record or wisdom through deep mediation in solitude.  In a space with no other humans, they commune with nature, and in this manner can ‘relax’ into opening up their inherent sensitivities such as clairaudience or clairsentience. 

 For those whom are seeking to begin a new cycle of connecting with their particular gifts, I offer the following as gentle suggestions to be explored. *Encouraging each reader to allow their instinctive understanding of their most powerful pathways of self to be their guides, your way may already be more effective for you than the below suggestions.*

1.) Identify when one is truly relaxed.  Is it a relaxation of the physical body that we equate with sensitivity, or is it a pathway that we honour or ignore in another aspect of being?  When do we notice/connect that the reception of our 6th sense was heightened.  For example, when travelling in other countries, because I am not often distracted by my native language, I am more relaxed in ‘listening’ with all of my senses to understand what the emotional, mental or physical climate of my direct surroundings are.  In many ways I would not have equated travelling alone through countries of vast cultural differences as relaxing, and yet with self analysis I can acknowledge that this is so.

2.) Allow for the possibility of this same ‘relaxation’ into conscious expanded reception with clear energy boundaries.  Many people with heightened sensitivities are afraid that in being ‘open’ they will attract harmful and fearful experiences.  This is a valid fear.  A relatable example of this is when we choose to close a door at our physical house, so that we can safely clean, cook and fulfill responsible action.  We do so to indicate to the world at large that they are not welcome without invitation.  For anyone opening gently their psychic perceptions, it is incredibly important to do so in manner that is ‘safe’ with energy boundaries in place.  For further reading on how to create healthful boundaries visit blogpost: Boundaries and Personal Power

3.) Practice.  Practice with recording ones perceptions, practice compassion for the self when it feels unfamiliar to be that trusting of intuitive information.  Practice encouraging those in our lives to trust themselves and their instincts, to learn hard or soft lessons, to take chances in verbally or artistically expressing their heightened natural perceptions.  We all have our own unique path to dance, or climb or fight or meditate through.  We get to be uniquely beautiful in all the stages.

4.) Honestly review what amount of time during ones day or week feels as though it has honoured the perceptions one carries.  Do we allow ourselves to be relaxed and receiving of divine source and guidance every day?  Once a week? Only in times of tragedy?  How does that allotment of ‘time’ or reception sit with us and the goals we hold for a compassionate view of ourselves and our world?  Again there is no ‘right’ time allotment. Some people will live a very fulfilling life having experienced one divinely connected moment for their entire incarnation.  Others will seek expanded levels of consciousness daily.  We get to determine what feels ‘right’ for us in this lifetime, and through the Law of Free Will, we get to change that pattern if after a span of months or years or generations, we are ready for something else.

5.) Keep a sense of humour. Without humour I would never have truly accepted my gifts.  I can laugh at myself and the world.  I can laugh with delight, with outrage with sorrow and with joy.  The movement of the diaphragm during laughter helps to stimulate the third chakra, the power centre at the navel.  Be powerful, clear the energy in the room, space, family or workplace.  Spiritual perceptions can be incredibly serious, but they can also have the beauty of lightheartedness as we explore and practice.

A prayer that I have found useful for those who notice the vibrational shift when affirming/praying aloud is:

“Dear Divine Source, God/dess of Creation, thank you for this life.  Help me to see myself and my evolution as a tool that amplifies the compassionate experience and unfolding in connection to the world at large, of our greater collective unconscious.  Thank you for helping me to expand my energy field to feel more rooted to this planet, so that as I open etherically, I do so with balance through my feet and being on this wondrous planet.  Please help me to find ways to express this unfolding, in service to mass consciousness and to the earth, the planet, the animals, other people, my family and community and my own individual experience.  Please help me to shield from lower vibrations that distract from Divine Love, and to feel connected {every day, once a month, during the year} as is most healthful for me at this time. Thank you for this assistance on every level, Amen, Om and Aho.”

At the edges of our conscious mind we are each consistently receiving waves of energy.  Some are lower frequency and may have fear associated with them.  Some are bright and light and beautiful and help us to see the potential for mankind on this planet.  Like radio stations we tune into, we are each a filter for the energy that pervades the manifest universe.  What are the ways we are all filtering and receiving and sharing for this new shift of time and purpose?  What aspects of the Divine do we openly allow to infuse our energy body and beam out towards the world at large?
