I’ve been thinking allot lately about Time. The time that we allow ourselves to pursue our deepest dreams, the time we return to in an instant of memory or inspiration, the perception of self and time that can shift during an epiphany that creates more self awareness in an instant that in the previous full year. What is one’s relationship to time, and how does it empower or disempower us?
As a soul that remembers several previous lifetimes, I carry around a belief about time that creates an expansive landscape of possibility and wonder in my life. As I see the world evolve, shift and change, as I witness people exploring their own personal soul path, and ways of growing, opening, receiving and sharing their personal light, I feel as though Time offers gifts of limitless potential. On days where I am devoted to the absolute moment, such as moving houses this previous week, I notice the way concepts of time that we each carry, effect us all. Some concepts are filled with joy, while others such as ‘there isn’t enough time for …..’ thought patterns, radiate outwards manifesting less potential for joy. A powerful practice to shift our personal relationship with our perception of time, is to make a list of the top five priorities one’s deepest self carries.
Mine is something like:
Elevate the vibration towards Divine Love
Be honest about who I am, and encourage others to be honest and empowered
Celebrate this beautiful Earth
Having a conversation with the self, through honoring the deepest yearning of the spirit is an empowering act. There are the superficial tasks we will often ‘think’ of as we consider the allotment of time and priorities for our day, but when given the opportunity to truly connect with the ‘self’ on a deeper level, the priorities will shift. We can still achieve our tasks, our responsibilities, and our time commitments, yet by carrying forward a firmer understanding of what we truly wish to share and experience with the world, the passage of time throughout the day, and the awareness of the world on a grander scale, is made possible. What are the ways that familiar patterns with a fearful vibration are effecting one’s perception of time? Free Will allows us each to recognize and shift away from such patterns.
An affirmation/prayer that I have found useful for centering my awareness is:
“Dear God/dess of Creation, help me to see the ways in which my Soul is infinite, and my current lifespan on the planet is filled with opportunities for me to speak my Truth, make choices that resonate with my Soul Path, and allow me to share all of the gifts I have brought forward for connecting, encouraging and manifesting Peace with others. I ask that any Angelic light rays, previous life memories, ascended master messages, or encouragement from guides and/or the fairy kingdom assist me at this time in making space for my deepest priorities in this life. Thank you, Amen, OM and Aho.”
If there is a yearning, a desire for change, an intuitive flash, or a self nurturing practice that arises in the mind after such an affirmation has been repeated, take action. What is the movement, shift, choice or awareness that can be brought forward to begin each day in a manner that resonates with the ‘core’ of one’s spirit? Perhaps it is greeting the morning with sound such as mantra, singing, or music and gentleness, or through movement in nature. Perhaps it is seeing relationships with others in a new way, or viewing the expanse of ones life with a deeper sense of patience, focus and humor. Perhaps it is as simple as slowing the breathing, and taking eight deep slow breaths to set the tone for a physical pattern based on peace. In whatever manner our relationship to Time and self manifest, let it be through an active awareness that renegotiates perceptions and personal empowerment, to establish a more Joy filled life. Everyone deserves to experience Joy.
