As a person who remembers past lives, and continues to remember others, I have felt a strong connection through previous lifetimes to several deities, ascended masters and angels. Though in general, I continue to believe that the universal energy that has many titles of “god’ is one and the same, I also acknowledge that the particular resonance that is most helpful in attuning my soul to its path can vary. Just as a forest is all connected, so too do we sometimes need the shade from the branches of trees or the pure water of a stream that runs through sunlight, all within the same forest, to aid in our healing, growth and energy levels. By exploring the terminology that resonates most beautifully with your own soul, you can begin to recognize and honor the ways in which your spirit and self receive sustenance.
Feeling drawn to a different culture’s religious or spiritual beliefs is something to be celebrated. Inside the skin you wear in this present life, your radiant spirit remembers wearing other lifetimes worth of skin color, gender and body shape. For the souls that are new to the earth plane, and do not have other lifetimes experience to draw on, they possess innate knowledge of living in different energy bodies. All of this knowledge, circling the conscious mind can contribute to feelings of being ‘alone’ and ‘not belonging’. I have found it vastly reassuring to meet other people who remember their previous lives or those that can clearly recall the other solar systems they travelled from before becoming human on earth. Yet, during a deep meditation or out in nature, I believe we are all offered reassurance, when connecting to a higher power, by whichever name resonates with us, that truly there is a connection of light between us all, and though our journey’s are own own, we are connected to all other beings resonating light, and are never fully separate from this light.
One of my favorite mantras, learned during a yoga teacher training course I took in Northern India is “SO HUM.” Repeated perpetually while in walking meditation or seated in nature, the message, as I understand it, is “I am that, that is I” and “That, refers to the universe, the divine in its entirety.” It has been a beautiful mantra and tool passed down through generation of yogis and shared with us all, that in softly chanting that we are apart, connected and filled with love, we encourage our ego to fall silent, and create space for all of the love and the universe to find its way within.
“Dear Christ Consciousness and Archangel Michael and Shiva, please help me to release fear, and receive clear guidance that promotes the safety of myself and loved ones. I ask that God/dess sends angels and light to surround me as I navigate this (describe challenging situation) experience, and I am open to receiving your assistance and love on all levels. Please help me to connect with my strength and courage and to be grounded into my inner knowing and higher Self for the safest and most light filled transformation. Thank you, Amen.”
May today be a day you remember your own unique resonance, and feel it reflected through the universe, with Love,
